Gem Helpline (formerly known as BGFCU Helpline) launched our helpline service in 1992 to provide EMOTIONAL SUPPORT SERVICE to individuals in need. It was also intended to provide information and referral services so that the needs of the callers could be dealt by the most competent resource. Our Vision: A community where people are empowered to take charge of their own mental well-being. Our Mission: Empowering the community to achieve positive mental well-being through emotional support & outreach programs. Our Values :

We organize public talk on emotional wellbeing on regular basis. In addition, the follow activities are carried out annually:
- Workshop
- Counseling Course (upon completion, one can apply for further training to be our helpline helper)
- Marriage Education Program
- Mindful Parenting Workshop

Disclaimer: Our Counseling Course is NOT INTENDED to be a form of counselling or psychotherapy, or to enable participants to practise as a registered counsellor. The Course teaches only basic skills to help yourself, your family and your friends.

Understanding the foundations of good mental health will help us feel happier and more fulfilled in our lives. This forum is designed to help the public better understand mental health, emotional well-being, and how counselling can offer support during different stages of life.

Mental health professionals will share topics such as building inner strength, healthy coping in a rapidly changing world, and family mental health — in a safe, inclusive space for learning and reflection.

💬 After the forum, GEM Helpline Listening Booths will be open from 4:30pm – 5:30pm, offering a confidential and supportive space where you have an opportunity to experience emotional support by sharing any feelings that are bothering you
