Weekend Cricket Recap – Colts to the rescue

JCCA 1 & JCCA 2
Well… it seems JCCA 1 (Knights) decided to take a little “rest day” and left a bit of work on the field. Posting 130/9 in 20 overs against Kleilat Cricket Club. Kleilat cruised past them in just 15.4 overs, winning by 8 wickets.
Tough day, Knights — maybe the coffee ran out before the match! 😅
But fear not, because JCCA 2 (Colts) swooped in and picked up the slack! 💪🦸🏻♂️
Facing Sparta CC, the Colts chased down 154 with 2 balls to spare, winning by 5 wickets. Special shout-outs to:
- Jan De Smit – smashing 75 off 35 balls 😎
- Morne Van Bosch – powering 45 off 36 balls
- Ruan Fourie – 4 wickets for just 18 runs! Incredible bowling 💥
Some tidy support from *John-Eric Thierauch* and *Anco Vermeulen* with the ball kept the pressure on, and the team finished strong.
So while the Knights were… let’s say, “relaxing,” the Colts showed up, played hard, and brought home the win.
