Fasting is not about starvation. It is alignment.

When full food fasts aren’t possible —
because of pregnancy, breastfeeding, health needs, or season of life — discipline is still available.

Biblical fasting has always been about:
• Subduing the flesh
• Sharpening spiritual sensitivity
• Reordering desire
• Making room for God

That’s why food-based alternatives work.
When you remove excess, pleasure, or emotional reliance on food, the spirit still leads — and the body is still nourished.

This is not to say you shouldn’t do a food fast though - they can go hand in hand. ❤️❤️
