The gravity of desert encroachment and soil erosion in villages and major cities in this part of this country is becoming a source of concern to the people. Massive flood and overflowing of some lakes as a result of last year’s rainy season are indication of the fact that we are facing not only problems of environment in which our people are living in fear of any natural disaster.
