Last Friday, we visited Garki Hospital, where we were privileged to meet a precious little boy (name withheld for privacy). We were warmly received by the matron and administrative team, who listened attentively as we shared our mission. While they kindly suggested we might also consider patients with cancer and other conditions, we clarified that our primary focus remains supporting individuals living with sickle cell—particularly those struggling to offset mounting medical bills.

We were then introduced to the little boy who had been hospitalised for over a month and was in visible, heartbreaking pain. His prolonged stay had led to unplanned and overwhelming hospital expenses for his family. Being able to support him financially and stand in prayer alongside his mother was deeply humbling. In that moment, we were reminded—again—of why Kindred Wellness Haven exists and why every single donation truly matters.

We have committed to staying in touch with this family and to providing continued emotional and physical support as his journey continues.

If you would like to be an answered prayer for this little boy—who remains in hospital, incurring daily bills while enduring indescribable pain—please feel free to reach out.

As an organisation, we are profoundly grateful for the opportunity to begin this grassroots movement—one that seeks to directly impact the very people we advocate for, with compassion, dignity, and tangible support.

It supports circulation, focus, temperature balance, and how the nervous system responds to stress.

Movement doesn’t have to be intense to matter. 🤍

It doesn’t need to hurt, exhaust you, or look like anyone else’s.

Especially on days when your body feels tender—navigating chronic pain, adenomyosis, fatigue, or seizure-sensitive conditions—movement can still be meaningful.

Today isn’t about pushing through.

It’s about reclaiming movement as something that serves you, not something that drains you.
It listens to your body’s yes and respects its no.

Some simple ways to move today:

● Gentle swaying while seated
● Slow neck rolls or wrist circles
● A short, rhythmic walk to your favourite song
● Deep, mindful breathing—letting your ribs expand and shoulders soften
