Transformedsmb Transformed is a not-for-profit initiative established to provide a loving support for women, orphans, and people in need.

TRANSFORMED ™ is a not-for-profit initiative established to provide a loving support platform for women, orphans and people in need; women who have lost their spouses, orphans and more to assist in the healing process and ensure the Family unit functions properly whilst remaining intact. As part of our efforts to raise awareness, engage with our target beneficiaries and promote a healthy lifestyle in general, TRANSFORMED ™ routinely organise Charity Walks to raise awareness, support and bring attention to the plight of widows, orphans and internally displaced people in our society. In Abuja alone, it has been estimated that over four thousand families lose their breadwinners on a yearly basis according to a WHO health analysis report due to a myriad of factors ranging from illnesses, road and occupational accidents to wrong medical diagnosis and cardiovascular conditions. These statistics can only mean that there is a need to be met out there. After studying the situation, we at TRANSFORMED ™ have come to the conclusion that we can improve the life of our widows, orphans and internally displaced people through:
1. HELP. - Creating a time bound goal and milestone achievements process for the widows.
2. LOVE. – Show of concern and understanding from those concerned.
3. EMPOWERMENT. – Educating them on the occupational and financial opportunities that abound.
4. SKILL ACQUISITIONS. - Impartation of set skills through FORMAL or INFORMAL trainings to make the widows employable or become employers.
5. GUIDANCE. – Constant Counselling aimed at ensuring that the widows conform to best practices in their business or places of work and ensuring that they conform to the best moral standards in their conducts and activities. We have found that the aforementioned interventions have not only produced positive results but have also enabled some widows to become firm support bases for other widows in times of need. We intend to achieve that also with the internally displaced persons as well. TRANSFORMED ™ seeks to accelerate the healing process by acting in love and helping these hurting ones rebuild their lives.
