Today’s Gospel presents one of the most powerful signs of Jesus: the raising of Lazarus. It is not just a miracle—it is a revelation of who Jesus truly is: “I am the resurrection and the life.”
This moment comes at a very human point in life—grief, delay, confusion, and death. Martha and Mary send for Jesus, but He arrives late—four days after Lazarus has died. To them, it feels like God delayed too long.
How often do we feel the same?
We pray… but the answer delays.
We believe… but situations worsen.
We hope… but things seem dead already.
Martha says: “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”
This is both a complaint and a confession of faith. Jesus did not come late—He came at the right time for a greater glory. Sometimes in our lives:
• a delayed breakthrough
• a failed plan
• a closed door
…is actually God preparing something greater.
The shortest verse in the Bible is here: “Jesus wept.”
Even knowing He would raise Lazarus, Jesus still wept. This tells us:
• God is not distant from our suffering
• Jesus feels our pain deeply
• Faith does not remove emotions—it redeems them. You can be a believer and still cry.
You can have faith and still feel broken.
Roll Away the Stone. Before the miracle, Jesus commands: “Take away the stone.” This is important:
God will do the impossible—but we must do the possible. What is the stone in your life?
• unforgiveness
• sin
• fear
• negative mindset
• toxic relationships
Remove it. Make space for God.
Come Out! Jesus calls Lazarus: “Come out!” And the dead man walks out. This is not just about Lazarus—it is about us:
• Some are spiritually dead
• Some are emotionally buried
• Some are living but not alive
Jesus is calling you today:
Come out of sin. Come out of fear. Come out of stagnation.
Unbind Him and Let Him Go. We will regain your freedom. Stolen glory will be restored.
