*AKOKHIA, EDO NORTH APC LEADERS APPLAUDS GOVERNOR OKPEBHOLO 2025 EDO BUDGET: CHIDES UNFOCUSED CRITICS*

The leaders of APC in Edo north have applauded the giant strides which the Governor of Edo state Monday Okpebholo has made just within one month of taking over the governance of the state.
Speaking with a select group of media through Alhaji Abubakar Akokhia, APC Edo north leaders Chided the opposition and obviously partisan section of the Social Media for leaving the substance of what the 2025 budget contained and how it will positively impact the lives of long suffering Edo people under the inept Obaseki eight years, instead the opposition and critics are chasing shadows on an ordinary human slip of tongue which has no bearing on what the budget contains or holds for moving the state from the comatose position Obaseki maladministration left it to the already visible and undeniable practical evidence of good governance which Okpebholo administration has manifested in just one month.
Alhaji Akokhia challenged the opposition and its Jaundiced critics to focus on the budget and look at such areas as allocation to Education, road, infrastructure and socio economic provisions.
Alhaji Akokhia cited the provision of the sum of Five hundred million naira monthly subvention to Ambrose Alli University which will ensure that lecturers will no longer be owed 3 years Salary. This from a paltry 30 million Nair a by the Obaseki government.
He also pointed to the huge allocation to road infrastructure which will ensure that roads connecting the three Senatorial zones are once again accessible by our people. Roads that were completely neglected that has made it impossible to travel from one part of the state to another in the last eight years .
Wondering why these critics cannot see the practical allocation to revamp the comatose education sector and collapsed school buildings all over the state which the budget has given a sizeable chunk that will ensure our children are educated.
Alhaji Akokhia said that while the leaders welcomed constructive criticisms that will enhance good governance, he frowned at distractive and unproductive criticisms. He praised the Governor for the giant strides which he has made in such a short time and congratulated him for coming out with a budget that will address the immediate, short and long term needs of the people/state. Helping with his drive to make sure Edo state indeed rise again from the deep hole of rot which Obaseki dropped it.
Alhaji Akokhia advised the Governor and his Deputy to remain focused and not be distracted by lazy, hollow antics of the opposition but fix their eyes on the ball of revamping the State.
