It may sound surprising, but many pregnant women experience this.
Some even say:
👉 “I just feel like eating it.”
If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

This condition is called Pica — a situation where a person craves things that are not food, like clay, chalk, sand, or even ice.
👉 Why Does This Happen?
During pregnancy, your body goes through many changes.
Sometimes, these unusual cravings may be linked to: Low iron levels (anemia)Lack of important minerals Hormonal changesCultural habits or exposure
In many cases, it may be your body’s way of saying:
“I need something.”
👉Is It Safe?
Even though the craving may feel strong, eating these substances is not safe.
It can lead to:Infections or parasitesStomach pain or blockageExposure to harmful chemicalsPoor absorption of important nutrients

👉What Should You Do?

He was a welder… but the real danger wasn’t the fire — it was what he couldn’t see.

He worked every day making iron doors and gates.
Strong man. Hardworking. Always on his feet.
The heat from the welding machine…
the fumes in the air…
the long hours without rest…
That was his normal.
Sometimes he felt:TiredVery thirstySlight body pain
But he would always say:
👉 “Na work… it’s normal.”
To avoid going to the toilet often,
he started drinking less water.
To keep going,
he relied on painkillers almost every day.
He ignored the small signs.
Until one day…
his body refused to keep quiet.
What he thought was “just stress”
started becoming something more serious.

👉 What Many People Don’t Realize
Work like welding doesn’t just affect the outside of the body.
Over time, it exposes you to:Metal fumes and harmful chemicalsExtreme heat causing dehydrationPhysical stress on the body
And your kidneys?
