The WORLD HEALTH DAYYY🌎🩺

We should take care of our health every day
but then today, in commemoration of the world health Day, we'll be sharing some tips for healthy living

📍ALWAYS remember to start your day with a glass of water... very important

📍GET plenty of sleep...this is really underrated, a good night rest does wonders

📍EAT real food.... please, not burgers 😅 real food it's really beneficial

📍In this day and age, it's really hard to stay away from blue screens, but we can limit it .. You should definitely limit your screen time

This is definitely not all you need to do, but doing this will definitely tilt you in the right direction.

Stay healthy and stay strong
Remember, it is your RIGHT to be HEALTHY🌎🩺🩺🩺

Have you wondered why public health is so important that a week is set aside to commemorate it?
..oh well

Walk with me.🚶🏽‍♀️

"PUBLIC HEALTH " is made up of two words- "The Public "and "Health". Let's find out the meaning of these words...

The Public can be simply described as a small handful of people or as large as a village or an entire city. The Public can also encompass several countries as well as continents. Health on the other hand can be described as physical, psychological and social well being. 🌹

Public health is actually an area of global health which aims at improving the health of all people in the communities. 🌹

The importance of public health cannot be overemphasized because through it's intervention, diseases and infections are prevented or mitigated.🌹

Common public health initiatives include, promotion of hadwashing, malaria preventive measures and promotion of healthy behaviours generally. 🌹

The following are roles of public health-
1. Access and monitor population health.
2. Investigate, diagnose and address health hazards and root causes.
3. Communicate effectively to inform and educate
4. Strengthen, support and mobilize communities and partnerships
5. Create, champion and implement policies plans and laws.
6. Enable equitable access
7. Improve and innovate through evaluation, research and quality improvement.

So you see that public health is made just for you- to improve your well-being and that of your community as well. And public health probes into every area- The rural, urban and even marginalised communities. Every one deserves a life free from disease and infirmity.🌹
