WORLD AIDS DAY- DEC 1ST, 2025

THEME: Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response.

📍World Aids Day is an international day dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease.

📍The acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a life-threatening condition caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The HIV virus attacks the immune system of the patient and reduces its resistance to other diseases.

📍 Government and health officials, non-governmental organizations, and individuals around the world observe the day, often with education on AIDS prevention and control.

📍Protecting rights and ensuring access to services for everyone is essential to stopping new infections and achieving health equity.

THEME: Diabetes and Well-being

🌹This day is a global call to refocus on the holistic wellbeing of people with diabetes. People with diabetes face challenges that affect their physical and mental health, with a global survey showing that 77% of them suffer from psychological problems due to the disease.

🌹This is an opportunity to raise awareness about the impact of diabetes on people's health and to highlight the opportunities to strengthen the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diabetes.

☢️In 2007, on November 8, World Radiography Day was first observed by the International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists.

⚡The date marks the anniversary of the discovery of x-radiation by Wilhelm Roentgen in 1895.

☢️World Radiography Day is celebrated to create public knowledge of radiographic imaging and therapy, which are essential for patient diagnosis and care.
