INTRODUCING THE LAGOS STATE HEALTH SCHEME (LSHS)

We introduce the Lagos State Health Scheme (LSHS) and our organization (HCI HEALTHCARE) to you for enrollment.

Lagos State in its quest to achieve Universal Health Coverage passed the Lagos State Health Scheme (LSHS) Law in May 2015. This establishes a mandatory pre-paid health scheme aimed at increasing both financial and physical access of residents of Lagos State to quality and affordable health care services with the goal of improving the State’s health indices. The scheme offer a defined minimum benefit package of health care services for Primary Care as well as a supplementary benefit package of health care services for Secondary Care.

The Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA), being the government Agency in charge, appointed some Health Maintenance Organization (HMOs) as Health Insurance Agent (HIAs) after a thorough screening process. Our organization is one of the successful HIAs and has since commenced registration of Lagos State residents on to the scheme.

Our organization, HCI Healthcare, formerly known as Healthcare International is a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) and we are into managed care services. Our company is one of the first Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO) in Nigeria and we are duly accredited by the Federal Government to provide managed care services to Nigerians under the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and have been in existence since 1997. HCI Healthcare is owned by some leading Insurance Companies in Nigeria namely: AIICO Insurance Plc, Custodian and Allied Insurance Plc, Femi Johnson and Co.
