There is this mantra people often say; What will be yours will come to you effortlessly.
But honestly, life has taught me otherwise. What is yours may be yours, but you still have to show up, stay consistent, and prove you want it.
Let me share a quick story.
Some time ago, I reached out to an engineer handling a big project about post-construction cleaning. When I got there, he told me many other cleaning companies had already approached him for the same job. He explained that once the project was completed, everyone would submit their proposals and quotations for consideration.
Now, here’s where persistence came in. I didn’t just wait for that day to come. Every week, I checked in on him, followed up on the project progress, and showed genuine concern about the work. I wasn’t pestering, but I was intentional about making sure Don Fab Cleaning Services stayed on his mind.
Fast forward, when the project was finally completed, we all submitted our quotations. Truth be told, our quotation wasn’t the cheapest, and there were even bigger, more established companies on the table. But guess what? We got the job.
After the cleaning was done, I asked the client why he chose us. His answer stuck with me. He said:
👉🏽 “You were persistent. You had confidence that you could deliver. And above all, you showed genuine dedication to the job.”
That day, I learned something deeper:
👉It’s not always about being the cheapest.
👉It’s not always about being the biggest.
👉Sometimes, it’s about persistence, consistency, and the confidence you carry.
In life and in business, people are not just buying your service; they are also buying your dedication, your belief, and your willingness to go the extra mile.
So, no; what is yours won’t just come to you because you folded your arms. It will come to you because you chased it with persistence, faith, and confidence. 💯
