International Men’s Day

Today, DNOMMF Hospital joins the world in celebrating International Men’s Day — a day to honor the strength, courage, and positive impact of men in our families and communities.

As we celebrate, we also raise awareness on the major health challenges many men face, including:

🔹 Prostate Disorders – especially prostate enlargement and prostate cancer
🔹 Hypertension & Heart Disease
🔹 Diabetes
🔹 Liver Disease (often linked to alcohol use)
🔹 Mental Health Conditions – stress, depression, burnout
🔹 Sexual & Reproductive Health Issues – erectile dysfunction, infertility
🔹 Cancers – especially prostate, colorectal, and lung cancer

Many of these conditions can be prevented, treated, or well-managed with early detection.

This International Men's Day, we encourage every man to:
✔️ Go for regular health check-ups
✔️ Eat healthy and exercise
✔️ Reduce alcohol and to***co use
✔️ Speak up about stress and mental health
✔️ Take symptoms seriously — don’t ignore them

Bringing Hope, Healing, and Care to Our Community Once Again

Every year, the Dr. Nlogha Okeke Memorial Medical Foundation (DNOMMF) renews its promise to reach beyond hospital walls — to touch lives, restore hope, and bring healthcare to the doorsteps of those who need it most.

This December, that promise continues.
In collaboration with the Nlogha and Ifeoma Okeke Foundation (NIOF), DNOMMF is organizing a Free Medical Outreach on Saturday, 20th December, 2025, at Community Primary School, opposite Eke-Otu Market, Amechi-Uwani Awkunanaw, Enugu.

From the very first blood pressure check to the last smile shared at the counselling desk, each moment of our outreach tells a story — a story of compassion, dedication, and the belief that every life deserves quality care.

Our team of doctors, nurses, and volunteers will be on ground to offer:

General and blood pressure check-ups

HIV and TB screening

Malaria and diabetes tests

Eye and dental care

Minor surgeries

Free vaccinations

Health counselling and education

Free medications and eyeglasses

The outreach begins at 8:00 AM, and everyone is invited — families, elders, children, and all who believe in the power of good health.
