INAUGURATION CEREMONY OF CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION (CME) COMMITTEE AT FEDERAL MEDICAL CENTRE, EPE.

The Medical Director of Federal Medical Centre, Epe, Dr. ADELEKE ADESOLA KAKA, on Wednesday, 21st January 2026 inaugurated the members of the Continuing Medical Education (CME) committee at Federal Medical Centre, Epe.

The committee under the chairmanship of Professor Olubusayo Ajayi met with the Medical Director and Director of Administration Mr. M.A SH*TTU with the other six (6) members of the committee.

The committee members were implored to make sure that their Impact is seen and felt within Federal Medical Centre, Epe and also felt globally.

THE HONOURABLE MINISTER OF EDUCATION – DR. MARUF TUNJI ALAUSA VISITS FEDERAL MEDICAL CENTRE, EPE

The former Honourable Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare now Honourable Minister of Education visits Federal Medical Centre, Epe.
Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa had a stopover at the Federal Medical Centre, Epe after concluding an official assignment at Epe Grammar School, Epe on Friday, 16th January, 2026. He was also joined by Honourable Tasir Olawale Raji, Honourable Member of the Federal House of Representatives, (Representing Epe Federal constituency).

He was received by the Top Management Committee (TMC) members of the hospital led by the Medical Director, Dr. Adeleke Adesola Kaka, the Head of Clinical Services, Dr. Deborah Babatunde, the Director of Administration, Mr. M.A Sh*ttu, Head of Nursing Services, Mrs Mariam Akindele, Head of Finance and Account, Mrs Betty Adesogan and a few other staff members.
The Medical Director briefed the Honourable Minister about the successes recorded at the facility and the efforts being put in place to ensure uninterrupted power supply.

The Honourable Minister later visited the Mother and Child Care Centre (MCC) to see how the facility is functioning. He was shown the newly installed 25KW renewable energy system at the facility which has greatly improved the power supply to the MCC complex, ensuring that the theatre and the delivery room have round the clock electricity supply for efficient delivery of services. The Honourable Minister had a brief chat with one of the children on admission in the paediatric ward, who shared the exoerience of satisfactory health care treatment received from the hospital.

The Honourable Minister was informed of the giant strides achieved by the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the hospital , which over the years have been able to salvage extreme preterm babies of not more than 700g at birth. The Honourable Minister then commended the Management of the hospital and charged them to double their efforts towards providing efficient and effective tertiary health care services as envisaged.
In his short remarks to the Medical Director, Hon. Wale Raji confirmed that the community is beginning to feel the positive impact of the facility.

In closing, the Medical Director on behalf of the Management and Staff of the hospital appreciates the Hon. Minister for Education and his team, Hon. Wale Raji for their support.

At the Inaugural event at Federal Medical Centre, Epe today 1st of January 2026, the management of Federal Medical Centre, Epe extends a heartfelt congratulations to the family of Mr. and Mrs Wasiu on the arrival of their new born baby which happen to be the first baby of the year.

The family was congratulated and celebrated by the management, the Medical Director, Dr. Adeleke Adesola KAKA, the Director of Administration, Mr M.A Sh*ttu, the Head of Clinical Services, Dr. Deborah Babatunde, Assistant Director Nursing Services, Mrs Mariam Akindele
at the Mother and Child Centre of Federal Medical Centre Epe as they celebrate the hospitals inaugural delivery of the year 2026.

As a means of congratulations and celebration, the hospital gave the family a 50% reductions in their bill accompanied with gifts and prayers for the new born.

It is our prayer that the Almighty protect the child and the parents, and also grant all expecting mothers a smooth delivery.

The Management of Federal Medical Centre, Epe, extends a heartfelt congratulations to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Ayanfejo and Mr. and Mrs Olabode on the birth of their babies, celebrated as the hospital’s closing baby of the year 2025.

The Medical Director, Dr. Adeleke KAKA, the Director of Administration, Mr. M.A Sh*ttu, Head of Clinical Services, Dr. Deborah Babatunde, and the Assistant Director of Nursing Services, Mrs Mariam Akindele felicitates with the parents on the arrival of their bundle of joys which happens to be the hospitals closing babies of the year.

The parents were congratulated with gifts and also appreciated for trusting Federal Medical Centre, Epe.

It is our prayers that all mothers carry their bundle of joys home in sound health. We pray for a safe delivery to all expectant mothers.

An Humanitarian donation to Federal Medical Centre, Epe, today Wednesday 26th November 2025 by Group of Company.

Federal Medical Centre, Epe received a generous donation of chairs from the G.M.D. Eleganza Group of company, Chief Dr. Mrs. Folashade Nohimat OKOYA. This thoughtful gesture reflects her continued commitment to supporting public institutions and enhancing the quality of healthcare provided to the people.

The set of chairs were delivered and presented by Mr. Akintunde Oladipo (Marketing manager for Eleganza group of company) and Mrs Sophia Esiri ( P.A Cordinator to the GMD of Eleganza group of company).

The management of Federal Medical Centre, Epe expressed deep appreciation for her kindness noting that her contribution will go a longway.
