The Message is loud and Simple, Family Planning and Menstrual health are Human Rights issues!
Our government has to do more to mainstream Family Planning and Menstrual Health into regional and national policies and work towards its implementation. Addressing these issues will require a multisectoral approach because of its important role in facilities design and delivery.
The WASH sector has a key role to play as well, but addressing taboos will require more than facilities.
Family Planning and Menstrual health have links to a number of policy fields and topics, including Girl Child Education, Adolescent Health, Child Marriage, Water and Sanitation, Women in Development, Gender Equality, the treatment of prisoners, the rights of rural women, Sexual and reproductive health, Extreme Poverty among others.
We will keep pushing till all these goals are achieved!
