Warm greetings from the Jewel city.
Earlier today, the leadership of GOMSA National had the privilege of visiting the Chief Medical Director of the Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe, along with his administrative cabinet. They engaged in fruitful discussions concerning matters vital to the association. The GOMSA leadership expressed gratitude to the FTHG administration for their steadfast support over the past decade and sought their invaluable insight on strategic matters. The unwavering support of the FTHG administration has proven to be an invaluable asset to both the current administration and the entire GOMSA membership.
The Attendees included the OS, Director of Media, Deputy Chief of Staff, VP GSU, and NIiMSA Northeast RC. The deliberations were highly successful and brimmed with potential.

In commemoration of Pink October 2023, Gombe State Medical and Dental Students Association (GOMSA), in collaboration with KLYAAN Gombe, successfully organized a comprehensive Breast Cancer Awareness Program. The initiative spanned 31 days and featured a variety of activities aimed at educating the public about the myths and facts surrounding breast cancer.

Online Awareness Campaign: GOMSA launched a month-long online campaign to dispel myths and provide accurate information about breast cancer. This effort was dedicated to raising awareness and promoting knowledge among the public.

2-Day Physical Event: The program included a 2-day physical event, which commenced with a public lecture on breast cancer delivered by the esteemed Dr. Bilqis Muhammed. This enlightening session was followed by an address on the importance of girl child education by Barrister Martha Apollos.

Quiz Competition: The program also featured a quiz competition designed to assess students' understanding of breast cancer and general knowledge. in honor of Dr Yusuf M. Abdullahi CMD FTH Gombe. Ten secondary schools participated, with Pen Resources Academy clinching the 1st position, Ecwa Goodnews securing the 2nd position, and Evangel School attaining the 3rd position.

Webinar: An enlightening webinar on breast cancer was conducted by Dr. Alex Barry.
