When To Seek Cares for Fracture
1. Severe Pain That Doesn’t Improve
If the pain is intense and does not reduce with rest or simple pain relief, it may indicate a serious fracture that needs urgent medical attention.
2. Visible Deformity or Abnormal Shape
When the affected limb looks bent, twisted, or out of place, it is a clear sign of a possible broken bone that requires immediate care.
3. Swelling and Bruising
Rapid swelling, discoloration, or bruising around the injury site often suggests internal damage or a fracture.
4. Inability to Move or Bear Weight
If you cannot move the injured part or put weight on it (especially legs or arms), it is important to seek medical help quickly.
5. Open Wound or Bone Exposure
If the bone breaks through the skin (open fracture), it is an emergency due to risk of infection and severe complications.
