IRU ( LOCUST BEAN) MESSED ME UP

Mmmm! I remembered when I just started liking iru then, being that it is our thing but I came to like it after learning the numerous health benefits.

No one told me it was preserved in salt not with salt🤣🤣🤣🤣. Those women immerse salt into iru like missing sand and cement.

I added enough of it to my delicious well prepared Egusi soup🙆 also added salt without washing out the salt from the iru because I thought washing it will reduce the nutrient since it was fermented.

Your guess to what happened to my pot of soup is as good as mine 😍😆😆😆.

So from then I started looking for how to solve that problem so I won't be washing iru every time I buy it before using it because I know I'm not the only one in this mess.

I sought asking them to process and deliver without salt.

So here is our unsalted iru.

We dehydrate unsalted one so you have it and not be conscious of the quantity of salt in it.

Theres nothing fascinating about this character 😏😏.
Why will I carry food to the hotel when it's not like we were stranded and had to spend the night in a hotel.

We went to have fun and relax as in have a good time and a night or two won't kpai anyone.

Moreso odogwu was prepared and a little spoil won't be bad.

So dear women, learn to enjoy a little and stop overthinking things.

TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE

If you still have your parents alive, please try and be close to them as they age. You will understand what the scripture Eccl. 3.2 spoke about times and seasons.

My mum of 81years has been with us for awhile now. The day I picked her up, I have shocked and frail she has become just within the space of 3 years that I saw her last.

Mama now takes gently steps like that of a baby learning to walk and I will be the one reminding her to watch her steps carefully just as she did to us when we were learning how to become.🥰🥰🥰.

My mum those days would chase you when you get that point that your punishment and judge must be instant until justice is served hot 🔥 🔥 🔥 but now she could barely stand up at once without hold her knees or a table for support.

When you speak with them on the phone, you may never get to know how far they have aged until you see them.

Watching her has taught me that time is of the essence. Make hasty while the sun shines. Whenever I watch her walk I couldn't but reflect on life itself.

Even she recounts how she would take up slot of tasks those days that some men rarely can do and it felt like nothing but looks her today, she can't even unbolt doors easily because gradually the horns are becoming weak by the day.

But in all, she's still strong at her age looking at the things happening and she moves about without aid.

In all, make hasty while the sun shines, today opportunities of today wasted might never be regained tomorrow. Work when you still can.

Life itself is a lesson, embrace it.
