2018 OBODOUKWU COMMUNITY HOSPITAL MEDICAL OUTREACH REPORT.
The glamorous event took place on Friday 28th December, 2018.
The mission was to say, "we have arrived and we are here...... @ Obodoukwu Community Hospital".
Planning:
This was done by all that knew about it especially the; Hospital Staff, PG Nzuko Obodoukwu Clan, Board Chairman and Members, Mrs Asomugha J U (Jp) and Chief & Lolo Noel Chukwukere. Apologies to our own who we did not get to because of time constraint.
Attendants:
Despite that day being Eke Obodoukwu (our market day) we say a total of 318 patients made up of:....51 apparently healthy......26 known hypertensives.....12 known Diabetics....6 known Arthritics.....40 known ocular(sight) patients....62 with no previously known medical condition.....1 Surgical case(foreign body in the right ear)....60 patients with only sight problem(s).
Materials Used:...Venue was the hospital premises.
Canopies, chairs, tables were hired from the hospital purse...Other none consumables like, A4 paper, 12 biros, 4 glucometer machines, 5packs of test strips & 23 pieces of insecticide treated mosquito nets were donated by yours sincerely.
The Consumables:...Chief Eddy Mbachu Texas USA
And
Mr Nwabueze Ugochukwu Maryland USA .....donated the drugs used....Chief Eddy Mbachu Texas USA also donated 20 bags of pure water and 2 packs of bottles water....Chief Mrs Chinwe Muoneke donated 50 bags of pure water....Mrs Amaka Oparaoji provided the food for that day that was more than enough for a minimum of 200 persons. Of course our patients, staffs, workers, etc that day were delightful.....PG Nzuko Obodoukwu Clan provided us with the drinks(2 cartons of malt).
...Chief and Lolo Chukwukere through his 'IHUDIKE FOUNDATION' arranged for, housed and fed a team of opticians from University of Calabar.

Constraints:
It was successful but not without these challenges:...insufficiency of drugs....lack of adequate motivation to our volunteer workers....poor awareness creation.....Shortage of man power in some sessions.
Recommendations:...Early planning....Our people should assist to reach out to drug companies for drug donations.
Conclusion:
We promise to improve and make December 2019 medical outreach better that of 2018.
Appreciation:
We thank our volunteer workers, Dr Ngozi Onyeneto (our sister from Owerri); Dr Uchechi Odinkemere (from Aba); Nurse Onyemaizu (our sister from Akowka); Our Sonographer (from Enugu); All hospital Staff; Our Donors; Board Chairman & Members (especially Chief Mrs Chinwe Muoneke and Mrs Obidiegwu Nkechi for really and fully participated in service delivery during the Medical Outreach. I sincerely appreciate Mrs Ibeto (from USA) Mrs Agatha Muoneke for their participations too. Mrs Asomugha J U (Jp), humbly I say thank you.
