Watson produces different drugs anti-malaria, anti-biotics, intravenous fluid; anti-inflammatory etc. Watson Global Pharmaceuticals Industries Limited was incorporated in April 2008 after the former Gateway Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. It was acquired by a group of investors following the decision of Ogun State government to privatize the company for effective management. The company is situated on a seven -hectare plots of land within Housing Corporation Industrial Estate located at Ikangba, Ijebu – Ode. The buildings comprise of administrative blocks and factories which hold the main product lines, the water treatment equipment, power generating plant, maintenance workshop and the main laboratory. The major operation of the company is production and supply of a wide range of prescriptions and over the counter (OTC) drugs such as analgesics, anti-malaria, antibiotics, syrups, intravenous fluids, disinfectant solutions etc. Watson along her cardinal activities is geared into conducting pharmaceutical research and development in alliance with overseas technical partners.
