The h***n is a thin membrane that partially covers the va**nal opening, and its shape can vary naturally.
1. Normal H***n
• A crescent or circular opening in the center.
• Allows normal menstrual flow and va**nal secretions.
• Considered the most common type.

2. Annular H***n
• Ring-shaped h***n with an opening in the middle.
• The tissue surrounds the va**nal or***ce evenly, forming an annulus (ring).
• Functionally similar to the normal h***n.

3. Imperforate H***n
• No opening present (completely obstructed).
• Prevents menstrual blood from exiting, leading to hematocolpos (accumulation of blood in the va**na).
• Clinically presents in adolescence as primary amenorrhea with cyclic abdominal pain.
• Requires surgical correction.

4. Cribriform H***n
• Multiple small perforations instead of one central opening.
• Menstrual blood can pass, but flow may be obstructed or slow.
• May require medical attention if symptomatic.

5. Septate H***n
• Characterized by a band of extra tissue dividing the va**nal opening into two small or***ces.
• May cause difficulty with tampon insertion, in*******se, or obstruct menstrual flow.
• Often corrected with a minor surgical procedure.

6. Ruptured H***n (Parous H***n)
• Irregular and disrupted edges due to rupture.
• Common after va**nal delivery (parous women), sexual in*******se, trauma, or certain physical activities.
• Appears as remnants of h***nal tissue around the va**nal opening.
