I can't believe I'm taking a flight to Lagos just to eat Amala with my fiancé.

Me that sapa almost kpai a few months ago until our paths crossed and my life has been transformed.

It all happened like a flash.

I met him on a dazzling Wednesday evening along the street. He was standing in front of a car with his friends.

Perhaps, they were discussing business matters, and when I walked past them, I politely greeted them.

One of his friends was my classmate in school, and he called out to me.

"Angelita...."

I turned around and shouted as I hurriedly ran into his arms.

"George, it's so nice to see you again after so many years since graduating from secondary school..."

He embraced me tightly, and he went ahead to introduce me to his friends.

"Tony, Frank, Joshua, meet my classmate, Angelita..."

"Wow!, She is so pretty...." They exclaimed moving close to me.

We had firm handshakes and it seemed Joshua was likely to be interested in me already.

He looked straight up to his friend George, "I think I like your friend...." He said with a smile on his face.

George raised his eyebrows, "That's too fast, you should give yourself some time to know her better..." He said sarcastically.

"Man, there's no time to waste, I need to grab this opportunity now..." Joshua said placidly.

George shrugged his shoulders and then told his friend, "If that's what you want, who am I to stop you..."

His other friends chuckled softly and they chorused, "My guy, go for what you want...."

We exchanged numbers and Joshua stylishly said those words that tickled me, "My queen, we'll talk more on the phone..."

"Okay, I'll be expecting your call, bye..." I said waving at them.

They spoke loudly as I walked down the street and their voices began to fade gradually as I moved toward the end of the street.

A few days later, he called and we talked for almost an hour.

"Can we go on a date?" He requested.

I was surprised so I responded, "Yeah, we can go on a date..."

The date was fixed and I carefully prepared for my first date with my newest lover.

Since then, it has been from one enjoyment to another.

And when I asked him why he chose me, he had this to say, "I chose you because you're down to earth..."

Moral lesson - Always be polite wherever you go.

That was my wife’s first issue. I couldn't help staring at the woman I love so much weep every day — in pain and heavy thoughts. This is what we prayed for. But one thing I couldn't understand was why it had lingered this long.

We had prayed like our life depended on it, fasted like it was the only way out. Yet the days stayed stubborn.

Our family pastor soaked himself in intercessory prayer for the mercy of God upon us.

At some point I wasn't scared of losing our first baby; what mattered most to me was my wife's life. I could see the pain in her eyes every day.😢

I even brought her parents to stay with us to ease her worries and make her feel alive. But they were softies too.

We would all sit in the sitting room watching movies, only for her to start crying. Those tears would break me into pieces — I couldn't control it. To worsen it, her parents sometimes joined her instead of comforting her. What could I do? I had to be strong as the man of the house: let my heart cry in private, and still comfort all of them.

A pregnancy that had lingered for twelve(12) months was going into the thirteenth(13) 😭

We visited different hospitals, met different doctors... and each visit ended in another scary story.

At some point I was tired. I told her, “Please, let’s stop all these hospital visits. If God made this possible, He still knows how everything will go.”

But by then I saw the woman who’d once had faith in God — the woman who made me fall in love with prayer — losing it all. She didn't even listen when I mentioned God.😢

Her tears came from what the doctors told her: if she eventually gave birth after this delay, there was a 90% probability the baby would be an imbec!le — or other terrifying names I had never heard in my life.

That night, around 2:00 a.m., my wife started screaming slowly. I woke up quickly.

“Sweetheart! What is it?” I asked, curious and terrified.

She couldn't speak. The little I heard was, “My waist! My stomach!” I got scared.

Her parents had gone back a few weeks earlier because they couldn't stand watching their daughter in so much pain. They told me, “In-law, it will be best if we visit often, because if we stay you might look for a way to save our life first before that of your wife.”🤔 That statement carried weight; I didn't argue. I let them go.

So that night, when she complained about her waist and stomach, it took me all my strength to carry her to the car and dash to the hospital. I only managed to throw on a singlet and run out.

When we got to the hospital, luckily the doctor was around. Nurses quickly carried her on a stretcher straight to the theatre.

I stayed outside pacing like a man waiting for the biggest announcement in the world.🤦

Then one of the nurses came: “Sir! Congratulations — the doctor wants to see you.”

I rushed in so fast I almost collided with another pregnant woman coming into the hospital.

Lo and behold, I saw two beautiful kids lying next to each other.

“My wife!” I shouted.

“Calm down,” the doctor said.

“Doctor!!! My wife!” I screamed again.

“Your wife is perfectly fine. She was exhausted; we gave her oxygen.”

My nerves slowly returned. Everybody was shocked — the doctor couldn't believe these babies came out fine. This was the same doctor who had warned us the child could become whatever frightening name he had used.

I knelt down and praised God forever. Everyone joined me; we sang praises and worshipped for hours. Indeed, everyone felt my heart cry and the mightiness of God.

A few minutes later the parents came and danced like King David in the Bible.💃

Fast forward one year later, those two kids kept growing — somehow beautifully.

But I noticed some things: the boy had a set of teeth like a tiger’s, something I'd never seen in a baby; the girl had the deepest dimple I'd ever seen.

The boy never fell sick once. He could speak in tongues as little as he was.🤔

My baby girl — whenever I had something heavy on my heart, her touch or voice alone healed me instantly and even brought lucks here and there. My baby boy had healing powers.

At first I thought it was imagination until outsiders who visited started testifying to these miracles.

INDEED WHAT GOD CANNOT DO DOES NOT EXIST.♥️💯🔥

Today my home is blessed with four kids in total, each with different gifts that give me goosebumps.

I learnt this lessons : Sometimes the delay, the long season of waiting and the terrifying words of experts are not the end — they are the doorway. Don’t let fear steal faith. Watch your children closely from the start: gifts hide in the smallest bruises of a story.

My mother went berserk the moment she knew Ogechukwu had left without the recipe.

She had to scold her on the phone but Ogechukwu's unexpected refusal to collect the recipe was a real slap in the face.

"You're going to regret this," My mother yelled on the phone.

"I'll not regret anything, I don't want to become a widow soon..." Ogechukwu taunted my mother.

I couldn't help but laugh at my mom's restless state afterward.

Kenny was chilling in his two-bedroom apartment all alone. It wasn't expecting any visitors and as a bachelor, he gave himself a nice treat.

Unfortunately, that didn't last as Madam Cash bashed into his apartment unannounced.

The look on his face showed contempt for her, "What are you doing in my house?" He asked rudely, "How did you find my house?"

She smiled as she replied to him, "Is not bad to check up on my lovely brother-in-law..."

She tentatively traced her finger across his chest, but Kenny brushed her hand away to keep his distance.

"Stand away from me, Madam Cash or whatever you call yourself..."

"Haba, don't be too harsh on yourself...I heard you've been celibate for a while, look at me, I'm ready to surrender my body and resources to you if you agree to explore my body..." She told him, moving closer this time.

Kenny took a step backward, and quickly said, "You think I don't know your plan... Please, go away or I'll call the police..."

"Why will you call the police?" She queried him, "I'm not afraid."

"Where's my brother Jerry?" Kenny demanded, "He has been missing for about a week now..."

Her countenance changed immediately he mentioned Jerry's name.

Kenny's raised eyebrows signaled his suspicion, "I'm very sure you knew something about my brother's disappearance..."

She stammered, "T.. that's a lie, I don't know anything about his disappearance... After he left my house that very day, I've not heard from him..."

He exclaimed loudly, "Oh my goodness!, He even came to your house before his disappearance..."

Madam Cash regrettably answered, "I didn't say he came to my house.."

He chuckled softly and continued to talk, "You didn't know when you spilled the beans.... Don't worry I'm calling the police right now."

She couldn't wait for him to call the police, she briskly moved out of the house.

Immediately, Kenny phoned the nearest police station, and he informed the senior officer about his brother's disappearance.

"We'll carry out our investigation and get back to you in a few days," The senior officer said.

Madam Cash was already on the way to her friend's house. She was held up in a traffic jam.

"Oh, what's the cause of this gridlock now?" She complained bitterly, honking the car's horn.

She felt more uneasy about Kenny's idea of informing the police.

Then, she decided to call Franca on the phone to brief her about her visit to her house.

"I'm very sorry, I'm not at home...." Franca announced on the phone.

Madam Cash felt disappointed, "Friend, I really need to speak to you..." She begged.

My mother wasn't in the mood to see her, she lied on the phone, "I'm of town, I'll inform you the moment I return.."

"Okay, but you ought to know my dilemma at this point..." Madam Cash said to my mother.

"Speak, I'm listening..."

"Kenny didn't fall for my tricks," She abruptly stopped talking when my mother interrupted.

"Erm, look for another way to get him...."

"He's aware of my w!cked deeds and has involved the police about his missing brother..." Madam Cash said.

My Mother's tone shifted from cheerful to sarcastic, "I know you're going to flop but that one is your business.... You're on your own from this very minute...."

My mother hung up on her friend. Madam Cash was dazed and didn't know when the traffic finally started moving.

My eldest sister stood by the door, she looked like she was bothered.

We both moved into the house after I had shut the door.

"Big sis, you're not looking happy, can you tell me what the problem is?" I requested while we sat down.

She opened her mouth to speak, but quickly shut it up the moment she saw my mother.

"Ogechukwu, I thought you said you were going to come tomorrow...." My mother said to her as she sauntered to the couch beside the window.

"Yes, I wanted to come tomorrow but there's an important issue at hand..." Ogechukwu muttered giving a flinching sideways glance.

"What's it that can't wait till tomorrow?" My mother probed, "Tell me about it I'm all ears."

Ogechukwu acted like she didn't want me to be involved in the discussion, and prompted my mother to say, "Cynthia, can you excuse us for a few minutes?"

"Sure, I can... I'm in my room, in case you need anything you can holla at me," I told them and then moved toward my room.

"Okay, we've heard you..." My mother said shaking her legs.

The whole living room was quiet, I could only hear the squelching sound made by the rubber-soled shoes I wore.

For some reason, I didn't go into the room, I stopped at the entrance leading to my room.

Ogechukwu peeked and when she didn't see me, she began to talk in whispers so I wouldn't hear them.

"Mom, my husband has been cheating on me with different women and it's affecting our marriage..."

My mother made a grimace of disgust as she listened to her daughter.

"You shouldn't complain about your husband," She uttered smiling slightly.

"Why?" Ogechukwu asked anxiously.

"I've tried to help you solve your marital issues, but you don't want to heed my advice..."

Ogechukwu sat back and crossed her legs, "I didn't understand how a recipe could transform my husband into becoming a better man... Maybe I should give it a try," She spoke in a mutter.

"Okay, I'll go and get some of the recipes you will use to cook his favourite meals and after a few days, you'll return to give your testimony..." She said smiling wryly.

She rose from the couch, moved straight to the kitchen. There was a steady power supply, so Ogechukwu picked up the remote control that was on the table.

She got up to switch stations and quickly I came into the living room.

I dragged her to my room, I went on my knees and begged her not to use the recipe my mother was about to give her.

"Please, big sis, there's more to that recipe you don't know about...I would advise you not to use it if you don't want to become a widow."

She scowled, "Are you well at all? How dare you drag me into your room to tell me gibberish?"

I scoffed, "Hmmm, is like you want to lose your husband..."

She was slightly dazed by what I told her, "Can you tell me more about the recipe?" She requested.

I gestured with my hand, "Please, sit down..."

She took a few hesitant steps forward and sat on the bed.

"Do you still remember the way and manner daddy d!ed?" I questioned her.

She nodded her head, "I can remember vividly how he d!ed...He was equivalent to an imbecile" She said with a blank face.

"That's the exact the thing that would happen to your husband if you accept the recipe..." I revealed.

A look of shock was evident on her face after the unexpected news, "Oh my God! I don't want to lose my husband, I still love him," She exclaimed loudly.

"You have to run as fast as you can now that she's in the kitchen..." I encouraged her.

She embraced me tightly, "Thank you, I need to start going to the house..." She said as she moved out of the room.

A few minutes later, my mother returned from the kitchen with the recipe tied in a polythene bag.

Her eyes wandered around the room in search of Ogechukwu. She called out, "Cynthia, Cynthia..."

By the time I appeared before her, she gave a barrage of questions, "Did you see Ogechukwu? Has she gone without the recipe? Are you sure she's not in the toilet?"

I sighed loudly and then replied to her, "Mother, I didn't see Ogechukwu and I don't know if she has gone..."

I didn't wait for further questioning, I moved into the room.

"I think Madam Cash should know where Jerry is..." Kenny told Lucy on the phone.

"You don't have to accuse the innocent woman remember she's mourning her husband..." Lucy tried to defend Madam Cash on the phone.

Kenny gave a long, noisy sigh on the phone and said, "You needed to see the way she threw herself at me..."

"Did you fall for it?" Lucy asked anxiously.

"For where...I didn't fall for her tricks after one of my clients had informed me about the recipe that sends men to their early graves..." He uttered with intensity, and his voice was heavy with conviction.

Lucy chuckled and she seemed not to believe what Kenny told her, "How can a food recipe become so harmful like you've described? I still don't believe your assertion..."

He cleared his throat and continued, "Look, your husband's strange behavior might be linked with the food we all ate in her house the day we visited her house...."

"That should be the day he returned home late..." She insinuated.

"Yeah, we left him with Madam Cash that very day..." Kenny explained further.

She let out a long breath and leaned back in her chair. Her hand held the phone to her ear, "What do I do now? I don't want to lose him," She asked, looking straight at her husband, who sat opposite her, drooling at the mouth.

"We'll look for the solution before it's too late..." Kenny said reassuringly.

After they ended the call, Lucy decided she would confront Madam Cash, "I'll have to go and meet that w_itch... She must reverse the charm she placed on my husband..."

She rose from the couch, walked into the bedroom to change her clothes.

Midway to the bedroom, her husband, William beckoned to his wife to come.

Lucy's face lit up, she could tell by the look on her husband's face that he needed something.

"What is it? Do you want anything..." She questioned

He nodded his head and then spoke incoherently making it difficult for Lucy to understand.

"My love, I don't understand what you're saying..." She complained.

William hit his hand on the couch continuously, "Okay, you want me to sit close to you..." She said as she drew closer to him.

She sat next to him, "My love, I've to go to that wicked sister-in-law's house to confront her... She has to reverse the charm she placed on you..."

William's rambling continued while Lucy had to gasp and stare at him.

"Okay, I'll not go to her house again..." She said a few minutes later.

William grinned boldly at his wife.

I was at the dining table trying to solve the assignment given to me when I heard Felicia complaining to my mother.

"Madam Franca, I'm getting tired of the whole drama my husband displays every time..."

My Mother's face contorted as she eagerly asked, "What kind of drama?"

"He plays with his baby's toys and drools from his mouth..." She told my mother.

My mother said after she had squeezed her lips, "It seems you want to discard him..."

Surprisingly, Felicia refused my mother's insinuation, "No, I don't want to discard him..."

"So, what do you want then?" She asked frowning her face.

"I want my husband to return to the way he used to be," She requested.

My mother smirked, "That'll be impossible, you can't have what you wished for... your husband is going to d!e and there's nothing you can do about it..."

Felicia went on her bended knee to beg my mother, "Please, Madam Franca, I don't want him to d!e...I still love him."

My mother made a jest of her, "I see why your so-called husband took you for granted... You're an illiterate who has refused to learn from the wise..."

She pushed Felicia aside and moved straight into the house.

Felicia sobbed quietly as she returned to her apartment.

The moment my mother saw me at the dining table, she hissed loudly and walked past me without saying a word.

I wallowed in thought while staring at the textbook before me.

"Why has Mother refused to help Felicia? Is there any benefit she gains from hurting men? I'll find out... But, how will I find out when I don't know the address to the Old woman's house...?"

I was brought back to reality the moment I heard a loud knock on the door.

I jumped to my feet like a rabbit and swiftly moved over to the door, opened it and was surprised to see my eldest sister standing before me.

15/09/2025

I thought it was over between Damian and me, but a month later, he resurfaced begging for my love.

Damian and I had been close friends even before he met my friend Caroline.

Although I hid certain things from Damian, I had planned to tell him the moment he showed some seriousness in the relationship.

But my friend Caroline went ahead to spill the beans anyway.

"Damian, do you know that your girlfriend is a single mother?"

Damian gasped as he answered, "Ha! I don't know, and Akudo has not informed me about it..."

"Hmmm, maybe she is trying to hide it from you..." Caroline snapped.

He tried to hide the disappointment in his voice, "Her reason for not telling me is best known to her..."

Caroline cut in, "Damian, don't act like you don't admire me...."

She flaunted her big backside for him to see.

He raised his eyebrows, and his eyes widened in lust, "No be small waist be this ooo," He mumbled softly.

She dragged his hand and it settled on her hips, and he could feel the softness and the roundness, too.

Then, he decided to give it a shot.

Their first date was scheduled to be in any of the restaurants around the vicinity, but Caroline had refused outright.

"I want us to go to Vanilla Moon,"

"Why do you want Vanilla Moon?" Damian asked, feeling a bit pressured.

"The food, service, and ambience are always phenomenal..." She answered.

They went to the restaurant and within seconds of arrival, Damian had spent the money he had never budgeted.

A few days later, Caroline requested to have an expensive bone straight hair from an online vendor.

Damian seemed to be uncomfortable with her excessive demands.

"Haba! You be big man na....a bone straight hair of #200000 naira should not bother you..." Caroline said placidly to Damian.

"Your friend Akudo was not too demanding...I think she's more discreet," Damian expressed instinctively.

She frowned, "Don't ever compare her to me... We're different."

After a few unnecessary spending, he noticed his business was going down.

"Caroline, I can no longer afford your demands, I'm facing some challenges in my finances..." He told her.

She shrugged her shoulders, "If you can't take care of me, I'll look for another person to take care of me..." She said with no pity.

It pained Damian that the woman he had spent a huge amount of money on had the guts to leave the moment the chips were down.

He came on his bended knee to ask for my forgiveness after Caroline left him.

"I forgive you, Damian but I'll not accept you back," I said to him.

"Please, I'll never leave you again, and even as I've known that you're a single mother, I still want you..." He pleaded.

The truth is, I've found someone better than Damian.

A young man who seemed to be more mature and accommodating.

If Damian could leave me and cling to my girlfriend, don't you think he might do the same thing in the near future probably when we're married?

What's your take on this?

14/09/2025

The absence of Jerry for about three days caused Lucy a lot of worry, so she decided to call his younger brother, Kenny, on the phone.

Kenny's response when she asked about Jerry only made her more worried.

"When did you see him last?" Kenny asked with a little panic in his voice.

"I saw him three days ago when he came to the house to check up on your brother.." She answered.

He scoffed and then further asked, "Is William okay?"

"Your elder brother has been acting strange, he drools and he walks like a moron now..."

Kenny shook his head in unbelieve, "You mean my elder brother is likely an imbecile and no one has informed me about it?"

"Mmmm, I thought Jerry had informed you about it..." Lucy explained.

"No, he didn't tell me anything and now Jerry is missing.... Where do I start from?" He muttered to himself.

Lucy was about to say something when Kenny interrupted, "Did Jerry inform you about his whereabouts?"

She paused to think for a while and then revealed, "He received a call from a lady and a few minutes later, he dashed out of the house to go see her..."

"Did he mention the lady's name?" Kenny probed.

"No, he didn't.." Lucy answered.

"Alright, I'll get back to you..." Kenny said to her and then he hung up.

He was confused about what to do next, so he decided to call Madam Cash.

He picked up his phone and dialed her number, she picked up the call the moment her phone rang.

"Hello, Kenny, how're you?" She inquired with a nice voice.

"Yeah, I'm fine but...." Kenny was interrupted.

"But what? Are you having financial constraints?" She asked on the phone.

"No, Jerry is missing and my elder brother is acting strange...." He mumbled, his voice full of despair.

Madam Cash gasped in surprise and her words afterward were soft and quiet, "Ha! Jerry, my lovely brother-in-law, can't be missing, and William will be fine...I believe."

A miserable sigh escaped Kenny's lips as he recalled the wonderful moments he had with his brother Jerry.

"What do I know?" He asked her.

"You can come to the house for us to carve out the ways to solve the problems we have in the family..." She suggested.

Kenny remembered he had an important place to run to, "I'll come to the house after my appointment with a client..." He informed her.

"No problem, I'll be waiting at home..." Madam Cash said to her.

Kenny was a consultant and his office was located in the heart of the City.

His client had requested that they meet in a hotel for some reason best known to him.

His client found refuge in a cozy hotel with plush armchairs in the lobby.

After Kenny and his client had settled in, he opened up, "Mr Kenny, I'll want you to advise me on how to invest my finances in a business that would not be available to my wife..."

Kenny was moved to interrogate his client, "Why do you want to hide your business from your wife?"
His client chuckled softly and replied, "There's a rumor going around town about a particular woman who gives women recipes that could destroy their husbands faster than poison"

Kenny adjusted his eyeglasses and further asked, "How are you sure it's not a fallacy?"

His client rolled his eyes, "My best friend is a victim of the same recipe, he's currently on the verge of losing his life...." He answered.

It dawned on Kenny that they had been spellbound by the same recipe.

He arrived at Madam Cash's house after the appointment. His client's explanation about a certain recipe kept Kenny in check and when she tried every strategy to seduce him, Kenny didn't fall.

He left the house victoriously, and that single act made Madam Cash uneasy, and she resorted to looking for other means to lure Kenny into committing adultery.

UNPREDICTABLE...PART 5 (last part)
As he waited near the pump, Mezie glanced around the filling station, casually scanning the faces of those around. Then he paused—his eyes froze.

Please follow LENNIE TALES ✍️ ♥️ AND ENJOY SWEET STORIES THAT TOUCHES THE HEART. Please share 🙏

Just across from him, at the far end near pump 3, was someone that looked oddly familiar. He squinted, heart slowing, mind racing.

Could it be…?

Their eyes met—just for a brief moment.

And instantly, Shaibu turned away. Fast. Pretending like he hadn’t seen him. Like they were strangers.

Mezie almost raised his hand to wave, almost called out. But then he stopped himself.
No… He saw me. And still chose to act like I wasn’t here.

He just stood there, quietly watching Shaibu fake a phone call and walk away slowly, trying to save face.

The help Mezie could’ve offered died right there—not from hatred, but from wounded pride and unhealed betrayal.

When he was done filling his tank, Mezie turned to look once more.

Shaibu, still pretending to be busy with his "call", peeked sideways.

But Mezie was already stepping into his neat black Prado. Smooth. Calm.

Shaibu watched, stunned, as Mezie drove past—quietly. No horns. No insults. Just a small knowing smile on Mezie’s lips.

The kind that says, “I remember everything. But I’ve moved on.”

On his way back, Mezie turned his steering toward an old familiar place.
He wanted to see someone. Ifeoma—the only one who showed him kindness the day everything fell apart.

He found her sitting at her desk, same spot, same smile.

The moment she saw him, she screamed, “Mezie! God! Look at you! Look at you! I’m so happy for you o ”

They talked. Caught up. Laughed.

“You know,” she said softly, “Shaibu was dropped not long after you. His pride messed everything up. The moment he got promoted, he became something else.”

Mezie shook his head gently. “Shaibu,” he muttered—this time without the "Oga."

Before he left, he smiled at Ifeoma and brought out his phone.
He sent her ₦1,000,000 on the spot.

“Ifeoma,” he said, “if you ever need help, ever, just call me.”

Tears welled up in her eyes. “Mezie, God bless you,” she whispered, kneeling.
“Get up, Ify,” he said softly. “You helped me when no one else did.”

As he stepped out of the building, he met Oga Richard and Oga Greg.

They recognized him and tried to greet, “Ah Mezie…”

But he simply walked past—calmly—entered his car and drove off.

Unknown to him…

Shaibu had come to that filling station that day not just to buy fuel.

He came to apply for a job—as a fuel attendant.

Everywhere else had rejected him. Some said “overqualified,” others said “not a good fit.”

He stood that day in front of the manager. His pride no longer in sight—his dignity buried under life’s heavy blows.

The manager reluctantly gave him the job. But the way he barked orders at him, like he didn’t want to hire him in the first place, was something Shaibu had never experienced before.

Then one sunny afternoon…

A silver SUV rolled into the filling station.

Inside was Victoria, dazzling in beauty, and her husband, Oga Kelvin—looking fresh and composed. Their eyes both met

Shaibu, who was on shift, approached the car.

“Good afternoon, sir,” he said humbly.

“Afternoon,” Kelvin replied. “Fill the tank.”

“Yes sir.”

Shaibu quickly plugged in the nozzle. And then—Oga Kelvin brought out a bundle of ₦100,000, gave it to him casually.

“Keep the change,” he said, smiling.

Shaibu’s mouth opened.

“God bless you sir! God bless you!” he shouted, his voice shaking.

He knelt right there by the fuel pump, overwhelmed.

Victoria didn’t even speak. She was too stunned. It all happened too fast.

As they drove off, she turned to her husband.

“Babe… that man you just dashed money…”

“Yes?” Kelvin asked.

“That’s Shaibu.”

“Which Shaibu?”

“The same man who made Mezie lose his job. The same one that lied to me years ago.”

“What?! Why didn’t you say something?”

“It happened so fast. But it’s fine… Maybe it was meant to be. Let him live with his own shame and memory.”

Kelvin nodded, shaking his head. “Hmm… Life.”

That evening, Mezie came by to visit.

Victoria welcomed him with a laugh, “Mee Mee!”

He froze. “Wow! Where did you hear that name?”

Victoria giggled, “Those girls at the pharmacy never stopped talking about you. Even before I knew you, they made me curious.”

They both laughed.

Then Victoria leaned in.

“Mee Mee… guess who I saw today.”

“Who?” Mezie asked.

“Shaibu.”

“Ah! I saw him too… At a filling station.”

She shared what happened. Mezie smiled again, .

“I wanted to help him… I swear I did. But he saw me and still chose pride. That’s what ruined him.”

Life… is truly unpredictable.
