The Younis Olatunji Basorun Education Foundation YOBEF is a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) which aim to assist qualified indigent students to have access to qualitative education

The Younis Olatunji Basorun Education (YOBEF) was established by the children of Late Alhaji Y.O Basorun, OFR. A loving father, accomplished teacher, distinguished education administrator and excellent public servant who passed to the great beyond on Tuesday, 13th November 2006 at the age of 79. YOBEF as an NGO with education development as its main focus shall be engaged in the following activites among others. Organization of lectures, symposia and workshops, chief among which will be Younis Olatunji Basorun Annual Memorial Lecture; Promotion of competitions among students and schools; Award of prize to performing students, teachers and schools; Award of prizes to performing students, teachers and schools; printing of textbooks, education materials and other similar items; Sponsorship of training of teachers and education administrators and award of scholarships to qualified indigent students at secondary, tertiary and postgraduate levels.
