Nkada Project

Nkada Project Building A Plastic Bottle Community Health Clinic in the Wasa Community, Abuja Resettlement Area This clinic is to be built primarily out of plastic bottles.

This ‘NKADA PROJECT’ is aimed at providing affordable and quality health care to the Adnayatapyi community, starting from a health care center. This project is done in collaboration with the Development Association for Renewable Energy (DARE), an NGO with expertise in plastic bottle building. The NKADA Project is an NYSC Project undertaken by Ada Nnamani, Nkechi Azinge and Dayo Israel, with the aim of bring health care to this community. We aim to build and provide quality, effective, efficient and sustainable health care system, using plastic bottles. Just like every building in Nigeria is made out of cement blocks, this clinic will be primarily built out of plastic bottles, Although the foundation of the clinic will be made out of cement. These plastic bottles are filled with sand and laid side by side, layer by layer just like every normal building. They are fireproof, bullet proof and durable. This kind of building has been done in Nigeria, in Kaduna by an NGO called Development Association for Renewable Energy (DARE) and we are working with this organisation for the implementation of this project. More detailed information about the project can be found on www.nkadaproject.com. HOW YOU CAN HELP
