FMoH, NPHCDA, and World Bank Hold 5-Day Retreat on IMPACT Project Workplan and Budget Finalization
The Federal Ministry of Health Nigeria, in collaboration with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency and the World Bank Nigeria, organized a 5-day retreat on “IMPACT Project 2025 Workplan Budget Implementation Review and 2026 Workplan and Budget Finalization.”
The retreat aimed to review the achievements, challenges, and lessons learned from the 2025 implementation cycle, while developing a costed 2026 workplan that aligns with both national and state development priorities. It also sought to strengthen team cohesion, collaboration, capacity, and ownership through joint problem-solving and knowledge sharing. In addition, participants reviewed key requirements and “must-do” actions as the IMPACT Project approaches its closing phase.
Representatives from several partner organizations attended and shared updates on their contributions toward achieving the project’s goals. Among the partners present were the World Health Organization Nigeria, PVAC, UNICEF Nigeria, the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development, NIPR, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
Beyond the technical sessions, the retreat also provided an avenue for relaxation and cultural exchange. Delegates from different states showcased their unique cultural heritage, adding colour and excitement to the event while maintaining focus on the retreat’s core objectives.
