Combination of these common medications can be detrimental to human health and they should be avoided especially when they are not recommended by a doctor or pharmacist.

π ANTIBIOTIC AND ANTIBIOTIC - Mixing Erythromycin and Doxycycline or tetracycline, can reduce each otherβs effectiveness because they act differently on bacteria except when prescribed and observed by your doctor or pharmacist.
π PAINKILLERS AND ALCOHOL - Paracetamol combined with Alcohol, increases the risk of liver damage and when Ibuprofen and Alcohol is taken together, can cause stomach bleeding or ulcers.
π BLOOD THINNERS AND PAINKILLERS - Aspirin or Warfarin and Ibuprofen or Diclofenac when they are taken together, may lead to severe internal bleeding.
π BLOOD PRESSURE DRUGS AND DECONGESTANTS - Amlodipine or Lisinopril when used with cold medicines like pseudoephedrine example is procold, actifed, Contac, can cause sudden increase in blood pressure.
π ANTIBIOTICS AND BIRTH CONTROL PILLS - Rifampicin and oral contraceptives when taken together, reduces the effectiveness of birth control resulting to risk of unplanned pregnancy.
π ANTIDEPRESSANTS AND MIGRAINE DRUGS - Fluoxetine and Sumatriptan - Can cause serotonin syndrome (dangerous chemical buildup).
π CALCIUM OR IRON SUPPLEMENTS AND CERTAIN ANTIBIOTICS - When Calcium or Iron supplements is combined with ciprofloxacin or Tetracycline, the combination reduces the antibioticβs absorption and makes it less effective.
π DIURETICS AND ACE INHIBITORS - Combining Furosemide and Lisinopril can lead to low blood pressure or electrolyte Imbalance.
