Letβs talk about LENGTH RETENTION π
A lot of us say βmy hair doesnβt growβ β but most times, it is growing, weβre just not keeping the length.
β¨ Length retention simply means holding on to the hair youβve already grown by preventing breakage.
Hair grows from the scalp, but length is lost at the ends.
So how do you retain length?
β¨ Moisture is non-negotiable
Dry hair breaks easily. Moisturiser regularly and always seal with an oil or butter.
β¨ Be gentle with your hair
Rough detangling, tight styles and over-manipulation will steal your length.
β¨ Protect your ends
Ends are the oldest part of your hair. Tuck them away in low-tension styles and trim when necessary.
β¨ Consistency beats products
You donβt need 20 products β you need a routine you actually follow.
β¨ Healthy scalp + healthy ends = retained length
Growth happens at the scalp, retention happens at the ends. You need both.
Length retention is not a miracle is a habit.
