Circumcision (Ge***al Mutilation)
Female Ge***al Mutilation comprises all procedures involving the removal of the external female ge***alia or other injury to the female ge***al organs for non-medical reasons, as defined by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Normally, your body sends an impulse to the brain which then interpret and gives a feedback.... The brain cannot receive such impulses appropriately when the nerve around a region has been destroyed....
Just like the ear ..when the nerves that should send the sound impulse has been damaged, probably due to trauma from a road accident on that ear, which may lead to tympanic membrane (ear drum) rupture...the individual experiences deafness, the form called Conductive Hearing Loss....
Also, The Auditory nerve can be damaged not because the brain is bad to receive and interpret the sound, but because the Auditory Nerve (vestibulococchlear nerve/CN VIII) could not send the info...due to damage to it... A condition called Sensorineural hearing loss.
Thus, in each of the scenarios described above, the brain will not receive the impulse, making the individual to be diagnosed to be deaf... And with time, that part of the brain(Wernicke's brodmann area 22) responsible for receiving and interpreting the sound info may start degenerating due to long term disuse....
As described above, same happens between the ge***als and the brain....
Deprivation of adequate sensory transmission of information from the damaged ge***als during in*******se due to circumcision/ge***al mutilation, could lead to loss of or**sm and displeasurable sexual activity.
Remember, those nerve endings at every part of our body ensures communication between our external body and the Central Nervous System. Thus they are called, the Peripheral Nervous System.
In Summary, the body is a biologic system....
So, it acts as a system....
