What lies within could look bigger than it is, depending on the attention you give to it. We all have problems but the way we handle them is what makes the difference.

All you need to do is break free from whatever is holding you down. Yes you can!

YES! Addiction is an illness.
Addiction is doing something in excess, not being able to control oneself. Sometimes some people are not even aware of their addiction until made known to them.
Addiction does not only apply to drugs, alcohol or substance abuse. Addiction could be in the use of phones, social media, shopping, exercising etc.

So let's stop the stigmatisation attached to it. An addiction is like other mental issues, which can be treated, if professional help is applied. ❗Follow for more motivation on mental health issues.❗

It can happen to anyone and it is happening, so there isn't any reason to be ashamed of owing up or admitting to it.
Mental illness is real and definitely on the increase. The pandemic has further worsen the situation and sadly it is killing everyday.
Statistically, it was found that one in four people are suffering or will suffer at a point in their life, a form of mental health illness. This ratio I believe is now out of date since the beginning of the pandemic of Covid-19.
.
At the moment depression, loneliness, anxiety, stress, grief and bereavement, anger and many more issues are showing up in people's lives.
However it is important we pay more attention to our mental health, realising that it's okay not to be okay. It is equally necessary, we reach out to families and friends and give support, especially to the mentally ill friends.
Remember, where professional help is needed or required, seek it timely. No stigmatisation needs to be attached, mental illness are issues that can be addressed once acted upon promptly.

Therefore it is okay to say that stress is a normal part of life which can be managed. But when managed it helps to break the hold it has on one's life. In effect, one can have a happier, healthier and more productive balanced life.

Mental illness is real and definitely on the increase. It is killing people everyday. One in four people are suffering or will suffer at a point in their life, a form of mental health illness.
We therefore need to talk about it, people need to know that it's okay not to be okay. We need to eradicate the stigmatization attached and increase the awareness.

However it is necessary we reach out and support the mentally ill friends. We also need to pay more attention to ourselves and don't forget to look after our own mental health.

So seek for help if there is a need on time. Talk to a counselor, we are there to listen.

It is simply demonstrating what goes on and how counseling works; taking a client through a journey of transformation where the client is able to move solely from negative, irrational to positive rational situation.

So all the counselor or therapist does is to collect all what the client communicates, filter them with the client into more clearer picture and then help the client to use the residue to grow personally.

This is the power in Counseling. Counselor don't ADVISE and don't FIX PROBLEMS.

However, MENTAL ILLNESS is normal but seek for that timely help from a professional.

TODAY, VALENTINE'S DAY, is a day of CELEBRATING LOVE. As such it is necessary we reach out and support the mentally ill loved ones and friends. Mental illness can happen to anyone and shouldn't be a STIGMA.
Let's show some LOVE and be KIND. Also in all we do, we should remember to pay some attention to OURSELVES and don't forget to look after our own mental health too.

However if any challenges arises and it seems beyond you, seek for professional help. SEE A COUNSELOR or THERAPIST. •
