Globally, today is dedicated to persons living with Rare Diseases. Rare Diseases are medical conditions that affect a small percentage of the population but can profoundly impact the lives of those diagnosed.
Some common types of Rare Diseases include Neurological Disorders, Genetic and Metabolic Disorders, Musculoskeletal and Connective Tissue Disorders, and Autoimmune and Immunodeficiency Disorders.
While some Rare Diseases are well-documented, many remain poorly understood, making diagnosis and treatment challenging.
Join us this year's World Rare Diseases Day to spread awareness, support research, and champion better healthcare policies for those living with rare conditions.
