As a formulator and the founder of Esiioma Natural Skincare , one thing I’ve learnt to never joke with is proper record keeping.

Every time I produce a batch, whether it's turmeric glow soap, body butter, or herbal hair wash, I carefully document every detail:

✅ What went right
✅ What could be improved
✅ Measurements and viscosity
✅ Any tweaks or observations

This habit isn’t just for record’s sake; it helps me consistently replicate excellent results.

On the rare occasion a customer shares feedback (I’ve had just one major complaint this year), I immediately go back to my production notebook. This helps me trace what might have gone wrong and ensures I improve or clarify things where necessary.

Fellow formulators, do you also keep detailed records?
