Airtel Nigeria presented prizes to the family of late Mr. Ernest Nwokolo, a beneficiary of Airtel Touching Lives Season 6, who was a diabetic patient and at the same time, suffered from stage 5 kidney failure which resulted in a total loss of sight.
The family struggled with medical bills and began to sell some of their possessions until a well-meaning Doctor told them about Airtel Touching Lives.
Airtel was moved by their story and promised to pay for Mr. Nwokolo’s dialysis sessions for a year; rent a fully stocked provision shop for 1 year; settle 2 years’ rent for the family in their current apartment, and provide basic home appliances and furniture.
Unfortunately, Mr. Nwokolo passed on, but Airtel has gone ahead to fulfill every pledge and also supported the family with a sum of N2.7 million.
