Word: Ubiquitous (adjective)

Meaning: Present or found everywhere at the same time.

Synonyms: omnipresent, widespread, ever-present, universal
Antonyms: rare, scarce, limited, uncommon

Usage: Smartphones have become ubiquitous among students attending classes at Dr Basit Academy.

In UTME 2019, ubiquitous was tested as a synonym of widespread and found everywhere, a word many candidates found tricky.

You can register for the 2026 UTME or Direct Entry even if you’re currently in school (like uni, poly, or college) it’s not illegal or banned by JAMB. 🎓✍️

The Board actually made this clear in its latest guidelines. What is important is that you must honestly disclose that you’re already enrolled when you’re registering.

That means telling JAMB you’re a student in school before you submit your UTME form.

Why? Because the law doesn’t allow someone to hold two active admissions at the same time.

So if you get a new admission through the UTME and you’re already in school, JAMB will automatically cancel your old one, but only if you told them upfront that you were already enrolled.

If you try to hide it, you risk losing both admissions. 😬
