Dear Pastor Abigail,

Today, we celebrate not just the anniversary of your birth, but the incredible gift you are to all of us. As the founder of Unity of Beauties, you have been so much more than a leader, you've been our pastor, a guiding light, a nurturing mother, a wise mentor, a supportive sister, and a cherished friend. Your unwavering dedication, boundless care, and genuine love for each of us, without a hint of bias, truly amazes us. We are immensely grateful for your tireless efforts and the deep impact you've made on so many lives.

Your commitment to uplifting others, both within the Unity of Beauties family and beyond, is nothing short of inspiring. The lives you have touched and continue to touch are a testament to your incredible heart and soul. Your guidance has shaped our paths, and your encouragement has helped us reach heights we never thought possible. We are blessed to have you as our leader, and even more so, to know you personally.

As a professional, God has always been the center and bedrock of my life.

I have come to understand that placing God before anything I do is always 10X rewarding.

Here are 5 benefits of building a relationship with God and prioritizing Him in your life:

1. Guidance
An intense fellowship with God can provide moral guidance and principles to navigate major decisions in your life and journey as a professional.

2. Purpose
When you align yourself with God, you'll find a sense of purpose and meaning as you align your actions with a higher power, which contributes to a more fulfilling and intentional life.

Faith in God can bring emotional and spiritual stability, which helps you cope with challenges and uncertainties in your journey.

The year is too long to journey without a direction.

2. Prioritize Tasks: Focus on high-priority tasks first, to ensure you tackle the most important aspects of your work efficiently.

Use sticker notes to highlight tasks if necessary.

3. Time Management: Allocate dedicated time slots for different activities, to avoid procrastination and maintain a structured workflow.

A personalized timetable can also be helpful to manage your time effectively.

4. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends and acquire new skills to enhance your knowledge and adaptability.

Diversified knowledge exposes you to more opportunities than you can imagine.

5. Healthy Habits: Prioritize physical and mental well-being through regular exercise, proper sleep, and mindful breaks to sustain long-term productivity.

Over the weekend, my team and I paid a visit to Pacelli School for the Blind.

One of the core areas we focus on as an NGO is creating an inclusive environment for the less privileged and making them conscious of Christ's love by showcasing it in action.

During a brief orientation by one of the Matrons at the facility, we also learned that the children survive only on donations from individual bodies and organizations.

This makes it a struggle to sponsor some of the children to high school. Most of them have to stay at the facility till the next admission year due to limited resources.

Aside from the fact that the children are super talented, their optimism about a successful life even without their sight or parents in their lives was comforting.

It was an emotional experience for us as we engaged them in different activities, and heard them sing to us in appreciation.

One of those things that makes Christmas beautiful is our ability to reach out to people and show genuine love through valuable gifts, kind words, and attention.

You don't need to have it all to make someone smile. You can start at your current capacity, it will be worth it.
