Our energy subsidiary, Heirs Energies, continues to deepen its commitment to Africa’s economic transformation.

Through a $10 million investment in the Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme, Heirs Energies is empowering 2,000 entrepreneurs across 2025 and 2026, and expanding opportunity where it is needed most.

This effort reflects a broader belief that energy development must go hand in hand with economic growth, especially in regions where access to capital, infrastructure, and opportunity remains uneven.

Beyond this, Heirs Energies continues to drive meaningful impact in the communities it serves. To date, the company has empowered over 500 youths through skills acquisition and enterprise programmes, supported more than 1,621 students with educational grants, reached over 18,000 people through medical outreach, and delivered 135+ community infrastructure projects.

Yesterday, at the iconic Transcorp Hilton Abuja, our philanthropic arm, Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF), unveiled the 12th cohort of its flagship Entrepreneurship Programme, announcing a total of 3,200 beneficiaries across all 54 African countries who will receive a non-refundable seed capital of $5,000 each, alongside mentorship, and training to transform their ideas into impactful businesses.

This year, TEF, in collaboration with several partners across the globe, including organisations from our Group; Heirs Energies, Transcorp Power, Transcorp Hotels Plc, and United Capital Plc; will disburse a total of $16m to the selected entrepreneurs.

In 2021, our digital-first insurance companies, Heirs General Insurance (HGI) and Heirs Life Assurance (HLA), members of Heirs Insurance Group, began operations to democratise access to insurance and drive financial inclusion.

Since then, both companies have hit several milestones, including the launch of multiple digital channels – the SimpleLife Mobile App, USSD code (*1100 #), and a chatbot, Prince, that provides instant responses to inquiries.

Together, they serve hundreds of thousands of customers through a nationwide retail network and live up to their name by paying claims within 48 hours.

Under her vision and leadership, Avon HMO has grown into one of the country’s leading health management organisations, helping people live healthier, fuller lives. The organisation has impacted over 250,000 lives, working with 2,500 hospitals globally and paying more than ₦40 billion in claims.

In the same spirit, Avon Medical Practice, committed to delivering quality healthcare, has treated over 164,000 patients across 33 clinics, conducted 13,000 dialysis sessions, and recently launched an ultramodern medical facility.
