Let me talk to you as a brother,

If you are writing JAMB in 2026 and applying for these courses: Medicine and surgery, Nursing, Pharmacy, dentistry and Law, especially as a non-indigene. Please endeavour to get into the University at all cost.

Don't insist on courses like Medicine and surgery, Pharmacy, Nursing, dentistry etc. Especially if you don't meet the cut-off marks required. The competition for those courses in a school like LASU, UNILAG,UI, IFE e.t.c is fierce.

Don't get me wrong, they are great courses but you will have better chances trying again while in school or switching courses if possible.

In most cases, what you will study in school is not what you need to survive in Nigeria. It's what you learn while in school or the friends you will make while in school that matters the most.

Start now to research on alternative courses incase you miss your main course of study.Have a plan B,C, or even D.

I wish you all the best in your endeavors.

KWASU ADMISSION FOR NON-INDIGENES — READ THIS BEFORE YOU APPLY .

Let me talk to you like a brother.

Every year, thousands of non-indigenes apply to Kwara State University (KWASU) with confidence…
yet many of them never see admission.

Not because they failed JAMB.
Not because they didn’t choose KWASU.
But because they didn’t understand how KWASU admission really works for non-indigenes.

Here’s the truth

KWASU does not treat all applicants the same way.
As a non-indigene:

You are competing for limited slots

Your JAMB score must be stronger

Your O’Level combination must be clean

One small mistake can push you out, even with a “good score”

Others with lower scores got admitted — because they applied strategically.

This is not fear mongering.
This is reality.

If you’re a non-indigene and you’re serious about KWASU, you must:
✔ understand the screening process
✔ know courses with better chances e.t.c.

LASU ADMISSION 2026 — WHAT EVERY ASPIRANT MUST KNOW.

If you’re planning to apply to Lagos State University (LASU) in 2026, this is one information you must understand clearly

LASU conducts Post-UTME Screening, and unlike some universities, there are NO fixed departmental cut-off marks. Admission is strictly based on screening performance and ranking, not assumptions or rumours.

Here is how it works:

LASU does not publish specific cut-off marks for each course. Instead, the university adopts a screening and ranking system.

Your aggregate score is calculated using:

50% from your JAMB score

50% from your O’Level results (WAEC/NECO)
Best five relevant subjects are used.

Candidates are ranked

After screening, LASU arranges all candidates from highest to lowest aggregate within each department.

Admission is quota-based

Offers are given strictly based on available quota and highest aggregates, not a fixed departmental cut-off.

This means:

Two candidates can apply for the same course with different JAMB scores.

The one with the better overall aggregate stands a higher chance.

Early preparation and planning is the key to LASU Admission success.

Stop Believing This Lie About KWASU Admission 🚨

Most candidates think once they score high in JAMB, KWASU admission is automatic.
That belief has cost many students their admission.

Let me tell you the truth :

A high jamb score alone does not guarantee kwasu admission.

Here’s how kwasu admission really works (beyond jamb score):

• O’level result matters a lot
Your grades, subject combination, and number of sittings can push you ahead—or knock you out completely.

• Course competition is real
Some courses are highly competitive, others are not. Same jamb score, different outcomes.

• Merit list comes first
KWASU admits on merit before anything else. If you don’t meet the real requirements, connections won’t help.

• Indigene vs non-indigene factor
Non-indigenes must aim higher to stay safe. That’s the honest truth.

• Small mistakes can cost you admission
Wrong subjects, late screening, wrong choices—many candidates fail here every year.

the real truth:
KWASU admission is about strategy, correct information, and timing—not guesswork.

If you’re serious about gaining admission into KWASU this year, don’t do it blindly.

JAMB Announces Dates for the 2026 UTME and Direct Entry (DE) Registration.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the official schedule of activities for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) application processes. Candidates are advised to carefully note the timelines and complete all required steps within the stipulated periods to avoid disqualification or late registration challenges.

1. Sale of UTME Application Documents (Profile Creation)

The sale of UTME application documents, which also includes profile creation, will commence on Monday, 19 January 2026, and close on Wednesday, 26 February 2026.
During this period, candidates are expected to generate their JAMB profile by sending their National Identification Number (NIN) to the designated JAMB shortcode and proceed with the purchase of the UTME e-PIN. Early completion of this step is strongly recommended to avoid last-minute congestion.

2. Close of Mock Examination Selection

Candidates who wish to participate in the optional UTME Mock Examination must indicate their interest during registration. The deadline for selecting the mock examination option is Sunday, 16 February 2026.
After this date, no changes or new selections for the mock examination will be accepted. The mock exam is designed to familiarize candidates with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment.

3. Actual UTME Registration Period

The official UTME registration will run from Monday, 26 January 2026, to Saturday, 28 February 2026.
Registration will take place at all JAMB-accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide. Candidates must ensure that their personal details, subject combinations, and choice of institutions are correctly entered, as errors may be difficult to correct after submission.

Understanding JAMB UTME: What Every Aspirant Must Know
JAMB UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination) is the gateway to Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. Its main purpose is to test your readiness for tertiary education and ensure fair admission for all candidates.

How it works:

You will write 4 subjects — Use of English (compulsory) plus three other subjects related to your chosen course. The exam is computer-based (CBT), and your score plays a major role in determining your admission chances.

Why it matters:

A good UTME score increases your options, but understanding the exam structure, subject combination, and scoring system gives you a bigger advantage than just “reading hard”.
Many aspirants fail not because they are dull, but because they lack correct guidance and timely information.
If you want:

Proper subject combination for your course

Clear admission strategies

Real-time JAMB & school updates

Past questions, tips, and mentoring

LASU Merit List – What Does It Really Mean?

The LASU merit list is the admission list based purely on academic performance, not on state of origin or any special consideration. It is the most competitive but also the fairest route into Lagos State University.

Here’s what it means in simple terms

Admission is based on UTME score, O'level result + LASU screening score

No indigene advantage on the merit list, this is usually done strictly in conjunction with JAMB guidelines.

Everyone competes on the same academic grounds

This is the strongest route for non-indigenes

However, the truth many don’t tell you is this:
Because it’s purely merit-based, the cut-off is usually very high.
Only candidates with:

High UTME score

Strong O’level results (preferably one sitting)
stand a real chance.

Correct LASU O'level subject combination

That’s why preparation and accurate guidance matter. Many aspirants lose this opportunity not because they’re not smart, but because they miss small but costly details.

We regularly break down:

Tested and verified LASU Admission guidelines and avoid costly mistakes.

If you’re serious about entering LASU through the merit list, it helps to stay where timely and tested updates are shared.

Those who stay informed usually stay ahead.
