FINANCIAL SECURITY

BIBLE TEXT: Eccl 10: 18-19

Eccl.10.19 A feast is made for laughter, And wine makes merry; But money answers everything. (NKJV)

Some Christian youths believe money is vanity, so they believe they can serve God and ignore wealth.

It is the desire of God for you to live a financial prosperous life, He wants you comfortable and blessed enough to be a blessing to others.

You need money for virtually everything today: medical expenses does not come cheap, you need provision for everyday living, and you need to be blessed enough to give to God.

God wants you to prosper financially as you prosper spiritually, so do not ignore godly principles that can bring wealth. It's not a sin to have the good things of life, poverty is not part of Christian identity.

As you grow older your responsibility increases, you'll be expected to care for your spouse and children when they arrive and this does not come cheap. Instead of thinking wealth is ungodly, you should ask for God's blessings that maketh rich and add no sorrow.

WAITING ON GOD

BIBLE TEXT: Isaiah 64: 3-4

Isa.64.3 When You did awesome things for which we did not look, You came down, The mountains shook at Your presence. (NKJV)

Isa.64.4 For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him. (NKJV)

I know you have heard several testimonies that stirred your Faith, but there are also several complaints out there by people who think waiting on God is a waste.

I don't know how long you have been waiting, or what you are waiting for but I want you to believe you are not waiting in vain.

Did Hannah wait in vain? Did Joseph wait in vain for the fulfillment of his destiny? Issac trusted God and interceded for his wife Rebecca, was it in Vain?

Receive renewed strength this season, and never get weary of waiting on His promises. The good news is that today may be the day you are waiting for.

LIGHT UNDER BUSHEL

BIBLE TEXT: Matt 5: 14-16

Matt.5.14 You are the light of the world--like a city on a mountain, glowing in the night for all to see. (NLT)

Matt.5.15 Don't hide your light under a basket! Instead, put it on a stand and let it shine for all. (NLT)

Matt.5.16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. (NLT)

I have seen so many young people try to downplay the gift/talent God has given them. "Oh, it's nothing, I'm just good at it because it runs in my family", or "I'm not that good, you just think so because you just met me".

They believe it is humility if they hide their gifts, and then try to make others feel they are just like every other person. They are like the proverbial light under a bushel that Jesus spoke about, and if they are not careful they never get to shine.

You have to deliberately put yourself out there. You have to be humble enough to accept criticism, and have enough confidence to accept the accolades. Joseph, David, and Daniel are examples of youth that didn't hide their gifts in the Bible.

When I published my first book, a close friend gave her review and said "The book is full of editing errors, and mistakes, you have to do better". I accepted the criticism with all the accolades I received and did something with it.

I discovered that I didn't have enough time to read over my book because of my tight schedule at work so I hired an editor. After paying her to work on my book, I discovered I didn't like the outcome. The book felt so lackluster, and I didn't like what I got. After resigning from my job, I worked on my book all over again, rewrote the book and erased all the editing errors. I have written several books after that, edited several books for others.

When I started getting lots of accolades for my books, and editing style, I went ahead and started my own editing company unapologetically.

God wants your light to shine, so that He can take the glory. He wants to see you get all the accolades you deserve so that He can look down from heaven and proudly say "That's my son/daughter!"

DECLARATION

EMOTIONAL INSTABILITY

BIBLE TEXT: Genesis 49: 1-4

Gen.49.3 "Reuben, you are my firstborn, My might and the beginning of my strength, The excellency of dignity and the excellency of power. (NKJV)

Gen.49.4 Unstable as water, you shall not excel, Because you went up to your father's bed; Then you defiled it-- He went up to my couch. (NKJV)

Naomi (Not real name) was a beautiful young lady, she was extremely intelligent and had a voice like that of an angel. Naomi was special and everyone knew it, she started ministry as far back as when she was in higher institution and everyone loved her.

She encouraged young ladies to serve the Lord, and she was an inspiration to many. There was no doubt that Naomi was well loved by many.

Naomi came to my counseling table several years ago looking sad, and depressed. I looked at her, and saw a woman that was chosen and beloved of God.

Naomi opened her mouth to talk about the plans she believed God had for her, and what was keeping her back. Despite what people think about her, she was emotional unstable, and had been exploited s*xually by different
men.

She found herself drowning because she could no longer hear God, and the devil would constantly torment her in her personal fellowship time. Whenever she wanted to connect to grace she'll hear a voice whispering to her "Not you Naomi, you do not deserve to be a child of God".

So many singles are neck deep in s*xual sins, and are emotional junkies. They just don't know how to say NO to s*x in their relationships, and they found themselves being s*xually exploited.

Many brothers are neck deep in immorality, homos*xuality, and ma********on. Such brothers carry the grace of God but do not know how to say NO to sin.

You have to cry out for help like Naomi, do not wait until the devil steal your mandate. Grace, when constantly abused, can bring disgrace and a curse. Cry out to God in prayer today, and seek a godly counselor that can help you.

DECLARATION

CHOOSING A LIFE PARTNER

BIBLE TEXT: Genesis 24: 1-48

Gen.24.4 Go instead to my homeland, to my relatives, and find a wife there for my son Isaac." (NLT)

Gen.24.7 The LORD God of heaven, who took me from my father's house and from the land of my family, and who spoke to me and swore to me, saying, "To your descendants I give this land,' He will send His angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there. (NKJV)

A Single brother once told me he didn't want to involve God in choosing a life partner, he said instead, he will find her by himself.

Another brother once said "I love a fair in complexion lady, I want to marry my choice".

During a meeting of Christian Youths one day, a sister stood up and said "I don't see anything wrong in sleeping over in a man's house, you have to get to know each other and find out if you are compatible first".

It is obvious that Christian Singles want to find and marry their choices, they call it "Spec" or their "Ideal Mate". They want to test compatibility, and want to believe they can coexist in marriage as long as they love each other and are compatible.

God is the Author of Marriage, praying about your life partner and asking Him to guide you every step of the way will ensure you end up with a suitable helpmeet.

You can't afford to choose your life partner by relying on your understanding because your destiny is at stake. The aim is not to find a spouse you can co-exist with, you need someone that can help your life purpose.

You can be compatible physically, s*xually, etc and still have a terrible marriage.

Your fear that God would force you to marry someone you don't like is unfounded, Abraham and his servant involved God in every step of the way, and they ended up with a beautiful, virtuous Rebecca who was Isaac's "comfort" and a life partner in every way.

I'm a son/daughter of God Most High, and I seek the will of my Father in all I do. I understand that Marriage is a lifelong choice, and I cannot afford to run it with my own understanding. THIRST FOR HIS PRESENCE

BIBLE TEXT: Psalms 42: 1-2

Ps.42.1 As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. (NKJV)

Ps.42.2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? (NKJV)

The future belongs to God chasers, those that thirst for God's presence enough to wait on Him. If you truly thirst for God, nothing else will satisfy you like His presence.

What a sweet fellowship! What a life sold out to seeking Him, and basking in the euphoria of worship.

Your zeal can take you to church, but it's your thirst and passion that will bring you to His presence. You have to understand that His presence is not a place of noise, it's a place of personal encounter.

You can be a church goer, and still not be in His presence, you can sleep in church and still lack encounter and fellowship.

Nothing beats a personal time with God, it can be at the corner of your room, where you raise your heart in awe and your hands in worship. This encounter is unmatched, irregular, and very personal.

Do you have a personal time for God? Do you thirst for Him enough to create a personal time for worship and fellowship? Can you create a room for two? For you and Jesus?

Let your love and hunger for Him drive you to His presence. When you become at home in His presence you become a son. As a son you begin to get honour and inheritance. This is the key to effortless victory.

NEEDS AND WANTS

Phil.4.12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. (NKJV)

Phil.4.19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (NKJV)

So many Christian Singles do not know the difference between needs and wants, they do not know how structure their lives in such a way that their provision can meet their needs without borrowing or coveting.

Several Christian youths are in debts because of poor financial management, they suffer for their failure to use their limited provisions wisely.

One of the poor financial decisions Christian Singles make is taking heavy financial responsibility during courtship, I have counseled several Singles that use finances meant to grow their businesses on their love interests. Many young ladies had close their businesses because a man that promised them marriage destroyed their finances, and many men have become poor because they spent frivolously on a lady they love.

You'll be responsible for the outcome of your financial choices, God wants you to be a wise enough to separate needs from wants.

Do not sponsor or start a lavish lifestyle that can strain your finances, and do not be a foolish borrower.

Every provision you have from God is to manage your needs, and wisdom is you separating needs from wants.

Prov.21.20 There is desirable treasure, And oil in the dwelling of the wise, But a foolish man squanders it. (NKJV)

DECLARATION
I'm a son/daughter of God Most High, and I have the wisdom of my Father. I understand that poor financial decisions can be an hindrance to my blessings, so I make wise money decisions everyday. I'm building a glorious future Hallelujah.

LITTLE BEGINNINGS

BIBLE TEXT: Job 8 : 7

Job.8.7 Though your beginning was small, Yet your latter end would increase abundantly. (NKJV)

It is fast becoming a trend on social media, ladies no longer want to identify with growth or little beginnings, rather, they prefer a spouse that is readymade.

Isn't it surprising that we convet the grace of big things yet despise their little beginnings? The Lord hates greed, and if your reason for choosing someone as a life partner is because he or she is already big, you may regret it.

David was just a mere shepherd boy in the bush, but he carried a great destiny and generational blessings. Anyone could have looked at him and saw a shepherd boy, but the Lord knew he was going to end up as a king.

I have been privileged to counsel lots of Christian Single Sisters, that never wanted to marry someone with small beginnings, some brothers will also rather marry a sister from a richer family and pedigree than someone they see as small.

God works in mysterious ways, the person you are seeing as small today can be identified with greatness tomorrow, while someone you think is big can become small and petty.

I have seen wealth without God disappear, and I have seen several people who started small with God become big over time. You should pray and not allow greed be the motive of your marital choices.

Eccl.7.8 The end of a thing is better than its beginning; The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit. (NKJV)

DECLARATION
I'm a son/daughter of God Most High, and I understand that my Father is in charge of times and seasons. I do not despise my days of little beginnings because I believe when I have Christ, there is hope of Glory. Eyes have not seen and ears have not heard what my Father has prepared for me. I'm made for the top Hallelujah.

FLOURISHING HEALTH

BIBLE TEXT: 3John. 1:2

3John.1.2 Dear friend, I am praying that all is well with you and that your body is as healthy as I know your soul is. (NLT)

Health is a gift from God, but we can only maintain it by making healthy choices and keeping healthy habits.

So many people are careless with what they feed their bodies; if you feed your body with junk and garbage, your body will find it difficult to maintain flourishing health.

The soul can only flourish when it is fed with the word of God, and knowledge, so also, your body can only maintain it's healthy state when you are intentional about what you consume.

See your body as the temple of God, and don't defile it with junks, alcohol, and illicit substances. So many Christian Singles still take alcohol, and some ignorantly abuse over the counter drugs.

I know a sister that loves abusing paracetamol tablets, she keeps the tab handy and can take as many as she wants when she feels a slight headache. When I cautioned her, she said her body has adjusted to it and the normal dosage doesn't work for her.

Ensure you eat right by feeding your body with a balanced diet, fruits and vegetables, having enough sleep, and exercise.

Some single sisters take contraceptives regularly, some even take abortion pills. This habit can damage your reproductive health and throw your hormones out of balance.

God health is God's gift but you need to play your part in maintaining this gift to keep it.

1Cor.3.17 No one will get by with vandalizing God's temple, you can be sure of that. God's temple is sacred--and you, remember, are the temple. (MSB)

DECLARATION
I'm a son/daughter of God Most High, and flourishing health is my birthright. I understand that my body is the Temple of God, and I'm responsible for maintaining the health God has granted me. I'm blessed with wholesomeness Hallelujah.

DREAMS COME TRUE

BIBLE TEXT: Gen. 37:5-10

Gen.37.6 "Listen to this dream," he announced. (NLT)

Gen.37.7 "We were out in the field tying up bundles of grain. My bundle stood up, and then your bundles all gathered around and bowed low before it!" (NLT)

Your dream is the purpose of God for your life, and you should never stifle it. Don't try to downplay it, make a joke of it, or dismiss it as irrelevant.

So many ignorant people try to cut their dreams into their sizes. They believe their dreams shouldn't be too big, because they have small capacity. They look at their financial position, and environment, and feel frustrated.

What if I tell you God wants to make your dreams come true like He did for Joseph? He can arrange circumstances, and events to position you for it's actualization, so you should not feel limited.

As long as you belong to God and have a personal relationship with Him you shouldn't feel limited. Things may not look like it's going to happen now, but if you hold on to your dreams and never let it slip away, you'll watch events unfold in your favour.

God is the one putting things in order, and He knows how to arrange things in your favour. No dream is too big, as long as you have Jesus.

REVEALER OF SECRETS

BIBLE TEXT: Dan. 2:22

Dan.2.22 He reveals deep and mysterious things and knows what lies hidden in darkness, though he himself is surrounded by light. (NLT)

Recently, a Christian Sisters secret and double life was exposed, and it left everyone astounded. Someone spoke was sympathizing with her and said "How will she face everyone now? Knowing her secret life is out in the open?"

"No one will ever know" is one of the lies the devil whispers to us when we are confronted with a temptation that can ruin our reputation. It is ignorance to believe you can ever have a secret life no one will ever discover.

I have seen it played out severally while growing up in church, a sister once tried to abort a pregnancy to cover what she sees a shame and almost died. Several brothers exposed as a womanizer in church, and men seen as pius caught sleeping around with young girls.

The truth is that you can't hide your secret life from God, and the devil. The secret condemnation will steal your peace, and the open shame at the revelation will dent your reputation.

God is the revealer of secrets, and there is nothing truly covered unless He's not ready to reveal it.

Are you living a secret life that can dent your reputation, and hurt people you love? This is the time to repent, and ask God for forgiveness.

Job.20.27 God will strip them of their sin-soaked clothes and hang their dirty laundry out for all to see. (MSB)

DECLARATION
I'm a son/daughter of God Most High, and a delight to my Father. I live a life that glorifies my Father, and do not indulge in secret sins. I stand as the light of the world, not tainted by darkness. I live to manifest His glory Hallelujah.
