Hmmmmmm! This life eh! E no balance. I entered this Keke on my way home from work. Because it was late and had rained in the early hours, the traffic had built up with few available buses and many passengers I had to struggle the front seat with the driver. Trust me, I am never the one to be beaten down by situations I have no control over so I started a light conversation with the driver while the other passengers listened with rapt attention. Half way into the the conversation the driver jolted the flow of my thoughts with this question: ma, what would you do if your wife doesn't get your permission before making a major decision that will affect everyone in the home? I wasn't prepared for this kind of conversation so my gut feelings inched me to probe further. So I asked; what do you mean? And he goes -yes, my wife never mentioned to me that her two male relatives were coming to our house to do a three month IT and they have been here for a week now. All the good stuff in the house don finish and i am under undue pressure to cater for them in this economy! How much do I make as a keke driver? The guy recounted his ordeal in the hands of his working wife who does not financially support him. They have three teenage children. I was shocked and for want of better things to say to him given where we were I simply advised him to speak with his wife by simply asking her if it was him that brought his own relatives to the house without informing her how would she feel? The guy vowed that he was not going to sleep in his house for a week in protest....☹️☹️☹️Please, what's your take on this? What advice would you give to this young man to save his marriage? Please let's engage.... This is the essence of My husband & i. Thank you.
