Come closer let's talk about today😩

Today day we had B*H class ...

B*H is a GENERAL course — meaning every faculty, every department, everybody must attend 😭
Class was slated for 8am.
Tell me why I’ll come early with this harmattan 🥶
Morning cold wey dey make person freeze.
I’ll still show up early like a responsible student.
I’ll enter the hall with hope…
only to realize that hope is a scam.
No seat.
Not one.
Just bags reserving chairs like dem pay rent 💀

So for 4 good hours — yes FOUR —
I’ll stand.
I’ll lean.
I’ll shift weight from left leg to right leg.
I’ll age.

After all this stress, cold, standing, suffering…
one Ekuke will now still have the audacity to say:
“That nurse no sabi, I no sabi ke???”

At that point, I’ll just laugh 😭
Because if I talk, it will be violence.

Campus life will humble you sha.
Coming early no longer guarantees seating — it only guarantees suffering.
If you know, you know 😭😂

You feel me 😎??

Me on my phone and then thinking about the long hours I stood 👇

It's called Joint Hypermobility Syndrome. It's a genetic condition.
The joint capsule and the ligaments are deficient, enabling the young man to move his joints abnormally in several directions.

“If December is stressing you more than it’s exciting, read this.”

December is supposed to be joyful.
But for many people, it’s stressful.

Money is tight.
Family expectations are loud.
Sleep is scattered.
Everyone online looks like they’re “enjoying” — and you’re wondering what you’re doing wrong.

Let me say this clearly:

If your body feels tired, your mind feels overwhelmed, or your mood feels off this season — you’re not weak.

As a student nurse, one thing we’re taught is this:
Stress doesn’t disappear because it’s December.
The body doesn’t understand “festive pressure.”
It only understands overload.

Late nights.
Irregular meals.
Financial worry.
Emotional labour.
Too much comparison.

All of these affect your sleep, appetite, mood, and even immunity.

So if you’re not feeling “the December vibe,” pause and breathe.

You don’t need to attend every outing.
You don’t need to impress anyone.
You don’t need to explain why you’re tired.

Rest is not laziness.
Quiet is not sadness.
Saying no is not wickedness.

Take care of your body — it’s the only place you live.

Aamebo nurse Almost Believed It… Until I Remembered My Nursing Classes....

This morning, I was scrolling like every other person.
Then I saw a video.

“Do this for 7 days and your anxiety will disappear.”
“Drink this every morning and depression will go.”
“Doctors don’t want you to know this secret.”

I almost saved it.

But then my nursing brain woke up 🧠

Because the truth is this:
Not every health video you see online is real. Some are exaggerated. Some are half-truths. Some are completely false. And some are even made with AI — fake doctors with convincing faces and voices.

Now imagine a tired mother.
A stressed student.
Someone battling anxiety silently.

They see that video. They believe it. They try it.
And instead of getting better… things get worse.

That’s how dangerous misinformation is.....😩

In class, we learn something simple:
The brain is complex.
Healing is not one-size-fits-all.
Real health doesn’t happen overnight.

So if a video promises instant healing with zero explanation, pause.
If it sounds too easy, pause.
If it uses fear or shame to convince you, pause ⚠️

Your health is not a trend.
Your mind is not content.
Your body is not a testing ground.

Ask questions.
Seek verified advice.
And please — don’t let viral videos make medical decisions for you.
