Gov. Ododo Dines And Wines With Syndicate Three

Activities of the Study Tour of Kogi State climaxed for the Syndicate with a dinner hosted by His Excellency, Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo at the Glass House, Government House, Lokoja.

Before then, the Syndicate Three and Eminent Faculty Members on Friday visited the fastest growing State University in Nigeria, the Confluence University of Science and Technology, (CUSTECH), Osara, Kogi State.

It became visibly noticeable after the warm reception from the Management of the university led by the Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahaman Asipita Salawu that the Team has stroked a chord, friendship, possible future partnership with the university..

Coincidentally, the chosen Theme by the Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC)17- which charastistically annually has to add value to pressing national needs - focuses on the Impact of "Artificial Intelligence, Security and Emerging Economies in Africa, Challenges and Prospects" is already been developed at the citadel of learning by the students.

The Vice Chancellor and his management took time to show their guest the strides made by the institution particularly in infrastructural development within the few years it has been established to the awe of the participants and Faculty Members of the National Institute of Security Studies (NISS), Abuja.

From the ongoing construction of the Faculty of Management Sciences, construction of Faculty of Basic Medical Lecture Theatres, ongoing construction of the University Library Complex, Students Accomodation to the Senate Building and to the spectacular newly constructed Ring
Road network connecting different parts of the campus to mention a few.

No doubt from the spectre, the past administration, led by the former governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello CON did invest heavily in education,
particularly tetiary education in the Confluence State.

Cocktail Party

Work without play makes Jack a doll boy.

His Excellency, the Executive Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo displayed the hospitality nature of the good people of the State by hosting the guest to a dinner at the Glass House, Government House Lokoja.

Represented by the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State (SSG), Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, Ph.D, said the State has made concerted effort to ensure its citizenry are not bugged by criminals and are free to go about their lawful activities, and go home to sleep with their eyes closed.

He said the Government has been able to curtail the inflitration of criminals from the nine boundary States and the Federal Capital Territory, therefore securing lives and properties as well as attracting local and foreign investment.

The governor said to buttress the efforts of the Police, Army, Navy and other security outfits, the government recently disbursed over 100 brand new operational vehicles and 44 motorcycles to the State Vigilante outfits across the State with a promise that more are on their way.
According to the people's governor " am therefore delighted to know you have been able to see at first hand some of our modest achievements particularly in the areas of security of lives and properties".

"We are positive that by the time your research has been concluded, your feedback will add values to how we manage our security architecture".

"Thank you for choosing Kogi State as a study center, please enjoy yourselves". He concluded.

Adding colour to the event is the speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly (KSHA), Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar who informed the audience that the Executive and Legislature have a robust relationship in the interest of delivering good governance to the people of the State.

The event attracted top government functionaries Including the Deputy Speaker, KSHA, the Majority Leader, Head of Civil Service, Mr. Elijah Adeiza Evinemi, State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara Rtd, Hon. Commissioners, notably Commissioner for Education, Hon Wemi Jones who gave a keynote address, Accountant General of the State., Hajia Habibat Oyiza Tijjani.

Others include, Special Advisers, Permanent Secretary Administration office of the SSG, Mr. Benjamin Ajodo among others.
