Pregnant women, please listen to this.

Many of you have been asking me about induction of labour, so let me talk about it.

Some will say, “Ma, I’m 40 or 41 weeks and labour is not coming.”
When I ask questions, I find out that the person has had a CS before.

For those who have had a cesarean section before, induction of labour is usually not advised. It is not necessary to induce you. Please let your doctor decide what is best for you.

Please, if you are 40 or 41 weeks and you have done CS before, do not go and induce labour on your own.

Do not go and buy castor oil by yourself to drink.

If labour is not coming, go and see your doctor.
Go for CS if that is what is advised. CS is not a death sentence. The most important thing is that both you and your baby are alive and safe.

It is the doctor’s responsibility to decide whether to induce labour or not.
Please stop taking things into your own hands. You can rupture your womb, and that is very dangerous.

That is why I’m saying this again to every pregnant woman. If you are 40 or 41 weeks, please go and see your doctor.

Induction of labour is mostly considered for women who have not had CS before. And even at that, you need to understand that it is not 100% guaranteed.
Sometimes it works,sometimes it does not.

For those who have not had CS before, if anything like castor oil will be used, it must be under the supervision of your doctor or midwife. Do not take it on your own.

Please, your life and your baby’s life matter. 💙🙏

TYPES OF HUSBANDS IN THE LABOUR ROOM 😂👨🏽‍⚕️

Some hospitals now allow husbands inside the labour room…
and honestly? 😂
It has been VERY entertaining 💀

Here are the types we have seen 👇🏽

1️⃣ THE FAINTER 😂💀
This one begged to enter the labour room
"I want to support my wife" he said
"I am a strong man" he said 😂

First sight of blood…
GBAM 😭💀
It is the husband that needs the drip now 😂

The nurses have seen this too many times 😂

2️⃣ THE PHONE VIDEOGRAPHER 📱😂
He came with full camera crew energy 😂
Ring light? Almost 💀
He is recording EVERYTHING

"Babe look at the camera and smile"
Sir… your wife is 9cm dilated 😭😂
PUT THE PHONE DOWN 💀

3️⃣ THE PRAYER WARRIOR 🙏🏽😂
This one entered the labour room with anointing oil 😂
He is speaking in tongues in the corner…
binding and casting while the midwife is working 💀😂

Nobody asked him to stop though
because honestly… we need all the prayers 😂🙏🏽

4️⃣ THE MEDICAL GOOGLE PROFESSOR 😂📚
He has read everything on Google before coming 💀
He is telling the nurses what to do…
questioning the doctor's decisions…
"Actually I read that…" 😭😂

Sir. SIR. Please sit down 😂
You are not the doctor here 💀

5️⃣ THE EMOTIONAL WRECK 😭😂
His wife is the one in pain…
but somehow HE is the one crying 💀😂

"Babe I can't watch you suffer like this"
Meanwhile his wife is pushing with full strength 😂

She is comforting HIM
in between contractions 😭😂

We can't. 💀

6️⃣ THE GHOST 👻😂
He was there when they entered the hospital…
and then somehow…
nobody can find him 😭😂

"Where is your husband ma?"
"I… I don't know" 😂💀

He is outside in the car
"giving her space" 😂
Translation - he couldn't handle it 💀😂

7️⃣ THE REAL MVP 👑❤️
He holds her hand through every contraction 🥺
He wipes her face
He tells her she is doing amazingly
He doesn't faint. He doesn't film. He doesn't run 😂

He just… stays 💖
Through every scream. Every push. Every moment.

This is the husband every woman deserves 🥺❤️

♦️ Shoutout to every husband who showed UP
for his wife in that labour room 💖
It matters more than you know 🙏🏽

And to the ones who fainted…
We won't tell anybody 😂🙏🏽

STOP POURING HOT WATER ON YOUR BABY’S UMBILICAL CORD ❌👶🏽

Mama, who told us this thing?

Some people say:
“Pour hot water so it will dry fast.”
“Add salt.”
“Put toothpaste.”
“Apply herbs.”

Please stop.

1️⃣ The cord is an open wound
Anything unclean can cause serious infection.

2️⃣ Hot water can burn delicate skin
Baby’s skin is very thin and sensitive.

3️⃣ Toothpaste and herbs are NOT sterile
They can introduce bacteria.

4️⃣ Cord infection can enter the bloodstream
This can lead to sepsis and that is life-thréatening.

5️⃣ The safest care is simple
Keep it clean and dry.
Use recommended antiseptic (like chlorhexidine if advised).
No tight diaper over it.

6️⃣ Bad smell, redness, pus, swelling = hospital immediately

7️⃣ Most cords fall off naturally in 1–3 weeks
Don’t rush it. Nature knows what it’s doing.

🌹 Old traditions are not always safe traditions.
When it comes to newborns, safe beats cultural pressure.

Symptoms that you have low progesterone. A lot of people have low progesterone, and they have been trying to get pregnant. Remember progesterone is the hormone you need to get pregnant and stay pregnant and when you don't have enough progesterone you might not be able to achieve pregnancy, even if you are on ovulation induction drugs or you later achieve pregnancy. If your progesterone level is too low, you're at risk of having miscarriages because you don't have enough progesterone to keep that pregnancy. Some symptoms you might experience as someone who has low progesterone are sore b***s. Some people will complain of having sore b***s before they get their period/menstruation, bad mood, or mood swings. These things can be pointing to low progesterone. Spotting, some people say they spot for 2 to 3 days before getting their period. If you're this type of person who spot before they get their period, it's a sign of low progesterone. You need to increase your progesterone level. Also, checking your progesterone can be very, very important. It could be a pointer to why you've not been able to achieve pregnancy. Also, checking your progesterone level can tell you that you're not ovulating. Progesterone can be used to know if you're ovulating or not, so if you want to know if you're ovulating or know why you're not getting pregnant, go and check your progesterone level. If it is less than 10 nanogram per mill. It simply means that you're not ovulating or you have issues that are not allowing you to ovulate. Low progesterone is not the main cause why you don't get pregnant.

you are not getting pregnant. There's something that is causing you to have low progesterone, and a lot of things can cause this low progesterone, preventing you from achieving pregnancy.

Progesterone test is done on day 21 of your cycle. If you check your progesterone level and it is less than 10ng, you can not achieve pregnancy. The accurate or the normal progesterone level should be 10 and above. It should be 10 nanogram per mill and above. So if you've any of these symptoms jux mentioned, sore b***s, spotting before period, bad mood, all these things can be pointing to low progesterone and also brown periods, if your period comes in brownish not bright red, it means that you have low progesterone. So find out the root cause why you are having low progesterone. When you treat the root cause, you can be able to get pregnant as someone who once had low progesterone.

I’m 38weeks and I’m seeing mucus discharge mixed with blood”

Yes my dear, This is how it happens

Once you get pregnant, the cervix which is the mouth of the womb begins to secrete or bring out mucus

As time goes on, the mucus accumulates and covers the cervical opening

And then It becomes a thick mucus plug

It now becomes a form of protection for the baby in the womb

It also moisten the cervix

It prevents infection or anything from getting into contact with your baby

Now as your pregnancy is Getting to an end, it is gradually pull off so labour can set in

It may take days or few weeks. It can be dislodged gradually for labour to set in
Every one is different

It can be jelly like, thick and sometimes mixed with blood

But your hospital bag should be ready!

It's perfectly normal except in cases where your due date is not close.

Speak to your doctor about it

Once you begin losing your mucus plug, strict personal hygiene is key.
Don't insert any thing including your fingers into your cervix.

It's a good sign.. just get ready for birth
