On behalf of my political organisation, Omu-Ijebu community, and my entire family, my heartfelt condolences go to the royal family of Imoru-Ijebu kingdom on the passing of Oba Munirudeen Adeposi Basorun(Alapo1),the Orugbogbo of Imoru-Ijebu.

*Folarin Ogunbanjo popularly known as 'FO' in the political landscape of the Odogbolu State Constituency, prayed that may the legacies of the great King continue to live on, as we mourn with the good people of Imoru-Ijebu and Ogun State, on the loss of our esteemed monarch.*

May the soul of Oba Munirudeen's memory be eternal, and may the family of the late Orugbogbo find solace in the memories of his reign.

My deepest sympathies go to the royal family and the subjects of the Imoru-Ijebu community.

Oba Munirudeen's impact will be greatly missed, and we pray that his soul will continue to Rest In Peace.

In what can best be described as a royal celebration anchored in gratitude, vision, and service to the people, the Executive Chairman of Odogbolu Local Government, Hon. Chief (Dr.) Babatunde Oyetola Diya, Today, Friday 25th July 2025, joined the good people of Odo Jobore Kingdom to commemorate the 1st Coronation Anniversary and Thanksgiving Service of His Royal Majesty, Oba Olufemi Sunday Olalekan Ogunbanjo (Sapenuwa I), the Kobowore of Odo Jobore.

The event, held at St. Michael Anglican Church, Odo Jobore Town, near Omu, via Ijebu-Ode, was a graceful gathering that brought together an impressive array of royal fathers, respected religious leaders, community stakeholders, political leaders, and sons and daughters of Jobore Kingdom.

In honour of Kabiyesi's one-year reign of purposeful leadership, Hon. (Dr.) Babatunde Oyetola Diya, in his characteristic commitment to grassroots development, joined in laying the foundation stones for two monumental projects: a modern healthcare centre and a police post — both designed to serve the peace and well-being of the community.

In his goodwill message, Hon. (Dr.) Diya extolled the sterling leadership of HRM Oba Olufemi Ogunbanjo, describing him as a monarch whose ascension to the throne is already redefining development in Jobore Kingdom. He noted that within just a year, Kabiyesi has brought vision, dignity, and a progressive mindset to traditional leadership.
Kabiyesi is a man of peace and progress. This foundation we lay today will stand as a symbol of collaboration between the palace, community, and the government,” the Chairman stated.

The story of Hon. Amusan 's sojourn on earth is one of the abundance of the Grace of God, whose unfailingly love has been sufficient in his life. Jelili Kayode Amusan was born in Lagos, Nigeria, into the family of Late Alhaji Abdul-lateef Akanbi Amusan of Gbagura, Abeokuta and Alhaja Amusan from Ilese-Ijebu, JKA was fondly called Ijegba. JKA is a devoted Muslim and a man of many parts from Abeokuta South. He speaks English, Yoruba and dint of Hausa language. He developed a strong sense of responsibility and empathy from a young age.

Hon Kayode Amusan was also a recipient of degree of Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Honoris Causa at the Commonwealth University Uk.

On his return from Western Germany JKA was appointed as the Production/Maintenance Manager for Aiyelokun Wire and Nail Industries Limited in Abeokuta and later joined Sokoto Wire and Nail Industries respectively all from 1979 - 1984.

Hon(Dr.) Jelili Kayode Amusan has since then ventured into private business and he is today, the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a conglomerates that runs professional services for clients in the Real Estate Investment, Construction & Engineering Services, hospitality, Oil & Gas, Gaming and Lottery Business.

*JOURNEY AS A LEGISLATOR*

He rings as a federal Lawmaker from 2003 - 2011. He spent Eight years as a member of the national assembly(Green Chamber). Hon(Dr.) Jelili Kayode Amusan was elected into the federal House of Representatives in 2003 - 2007 representing Abeokuta North/Obafemi Owode/Odeda Federal Constituency and based on the satisfactory record of performance in the legislative he was returned unopposed in 2007 - 2011.
