As a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC)in Osun and former Deputy Chairman of the 9th House of Reps Committee on Water Resources, Hon. Christmas: Hon. Bukola Oyewo Urges Nigerians to Imbibe Message of Christ

As Christians across the world celebrate this year's Christmas, a frontline member of the All Progressives Congress(APC)in Osun State, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo, has admonished Nigerians to imbibe the teachings of Jesus Christ in their daily lives.

The former legistlator representing Osogbo Federal Constituency, on Thursday, also reminded citizens of the need to learn lessons from the life and times of Jesus Christ.

In a goodwill message issued by his Media and Publicity Office, Hon. Oyewo urged Christians to use the festive occasion to pray for unity, peace and prosperity of Nigeria.

He called on all stakeholders in Osogbo, Olorunda, Irepodun and Orolu to rededicate themselves to the service of humanity in line with the true teachings of Jesus Christ which emphasizes tolerance, patience, kindness, care for the needy and love for one another, among other virtues.

Oyewo also appealed to the electorate to back the APC and its candidate as the 2026 Osun governorship election draws near. The grassroots politician further urged Nigerians to keep supporting the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration in its vision for a renewed nation.

He also commended Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola and Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji for their efforts in positioning the APC for victory in the upcoming Osun governorship election.

*BUKOLA OYEWO MOURNS ALHAJI FATAI DIEKOLA*

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osogbo Federal Constituency, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo (BUKOY), has expressed profound sorrow over the death of Alhaji Fatai Abidemi Oyedele, a revered political icon in Osun State, describing the loss as deeply painful.

The passing of Alhaji Oyedele was announced on Monday, December 22, 2025. Diekola, as he was popularly known, departed this world at the age of 69.

In a condolence message issued on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, Hon. Oyewo commiserated with all sons and daughters of Osogboland, the family of the deceased, and the people of Osun State, noting that the late Diekola was a political stalwart of high repute, widely respected for his courage, wisdom, humility, influence, and commitment to public service.

"I received with deep sorrow and a heavy heart the news of the passing of a political icon in Osogboland, Alhaji Fatai Abidemi Oyedele (Diekola)," Hon. Oyewo said. "This is a painful and irreplaceable loss, not only to Osogbo Federal Constituency but also to the good people of Osun State."

Speaking on behalf of his family, friends, and political associates, the former federal lawmaker extended his condolences to the bereaved family and the entire inhabitants of Osogboland. "I extend our heartfelt condolences to you, the family of the departed, and the entire inhabitants of Osogboland," he said.

Hon. Oyewo also offered prayers for the repose of the late community leader's soul and for strength for those left behind. "We pray that God Almighty grants the late Jagun-Aso eternal rest and gives you, the bereaved family, and the people of Osun the strength, comfort, and grace to bear this painful loss."

"I share in your grief and pray that Allah (SWT) grants Alhaji Fatai Diekola mercy, forgiveness, and an elevated place in Jannatul-Firdaus. Please accept our deepest sympathies and assurances of our prayers at this very difficult time," the APC chieftain added.

Olubukola Oyewo, a member of the 9th National Assembly, has congratulated Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji on his emergence as the Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate. Oyebamiji was declared the winner of the APC primary in Osun State after being affirmed as the consensus candidate by the party's delegates.

Oyewo hailed the sportsmanship of the other contestants who dropped their ambitions for Oyebamiji, and urged the candidate to fly the party's flag with courage. According to him, "Today, December 13, 2025, a selfless leader and loyal party man, Asiwaju Munirudeen Oyebamiji, was declared the winner of the APC governorship primary in Osun State. Hon. Olubukola Oyewo, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has extended his warm congratulations to Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her installation as the Yeye Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodua by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II.

The ceremony, which took place in Ile-Ife as a part of activity to mark the 10th coronation anniversary of the Ooni, was a grand affair that drew dignitaries from across the country, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former First Lady Patience Jonathan, and several state governors.
