Oyewo Congratulates Omidiran on Swearing-in as FCC Chairman

Hon. Olubukola Oyewo, a former member of the National Assembly and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has congratulated Hajia Ayo Omidiran on her swearing-in as the new Chairperson of the Federal Character Commission (FCC).
President Bola Tinubu on Thursday administered the oath of office to Omidiran alongside 37 commissioners representing the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) at the State House in Abuja.
Omidiran, 59, hails from Osun State and is a former member of the House of Representatives, having served between 2011 and 2019. She is also a sports administrator, a member of committees of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and FIFA, and the founder of Omidiran Babes FC.
In his congratulatory message, Hon. Oyewo said, "Hajia Ayo Omidiran's appointment and swearing-in by the President are well-deserved. She is tested and trusted. As a stakeholder in Osun State, where she hails from, I am confident that the new FCC Chairman will excel in her role for the nation's benefit."
The former lawmaker representing Osogbo Federal Constituency prayed for wisdom and success for Omidiran in her new role, while expressing optimism that her leadership would strengthen the Commission. .
"Your appointment is not just a personal achievement but a source of pride for Osun State and its people. We are proud of you, and we know that you will not disappoint the people of the state," the APC stalwart said.
