✊💔 — Her Voice Still Cries
She was only 13 years old…
A bright girl from Benue, full of dreams — dreams that were stolen by the very people who were meant to protect her.
Her name was Elizabeth Ochanya Ogbanje.
She suffered years of abuse. Years of pain. Years of silence.
Until her small body could no longer bear the weight of what she went through.
In October 2018, she died.
But her story didn’t end there — it became a cry for justice that still echoes today.
How does a society sleep peacefully when a child’s voice is silenced and her abusers walk free?
How do we talk about progress when our daughters are still unsafe in the hands of those meant to guide them?
It’s been 7 years, yet her case still drags like her life didn’t matter.
But it did.
And it still does.
💔 We owe it to Ochanya to keep her name alive.
💔 We owe it to every girl child to make sure this never happens again.
💔 We owe it to justice to keep shouting until something changes.
This is not just a story.
This is a call to conscience.
If you have a voice, use it.
If you have a platform, raise it.
If you have a heart, let it break for her.
isn’t just a hashtag — it’s a movement for every child who deserves to grow up in peace, not in pain.
🕯️ Rest in Power, Elizabeth Ochanya Ogbanje.
Your voice still speaks through us.
We won’t stop until justice breathes your name.
