Yesterday, 27th February, the Branch, Imo Branch Governance with the Management paid an Advocacy visit to the 34 Artillery Brigade Command, Obinze.

The team comprised of 7 Branch Officials and two National Headquarters as led by the Branch Chairman:

* Mr. Adeyemo Andronicus, the Director Safer Access Framework, Weapon Contamination, HCiD and Security, National Headquarters
* Mr. Michael Fagoyinbo, Security Officer, NHq
* Tr. Ibe Ikedinachi Augustine, Disaster Management Adviser
* Tr. Stellamaris Opara, DMO
* Tr. Kizito Uzoma, BTO
* Tr. Chidera Nwaigwe, BCO
* Instr. Innocent Okehi
* Mr. Chima Ohajiemu

The team as received by the Brigade Commander, Brigadier General S. Ahmed ably represented by the Brigade Chief of Staff, Colonel S. M. Ahmed reiterated the bond between the military and Red Cross right from the first World War(1914-1918).
The Chief of Staff on behalf of the Brigade Commander and other Senior officers of the Brigade thanked the Red Cross for coming as he pledged their security support towards our services to humanity.

There was exchange of souvenirs to severe our relationships after the meeting.

*Still in the spirit of WRCD Celebration*

Today, May 12th 2025, Imo Branch Management Staff represented by the Branch Health and Care Officer, Dr. Ekene Ahaneku and Branch Communications Officer, Tr. Chidera Nwaigwe graced the invitation of Echo Fm 100.7 Owerri to discuss emergency preparedness and the roles Red Cross plays in our Society.

It was an engaging moment as the BHCO and BCO responded to all questions clearly.

As part of the activities mapped out to commemorate World First Aid Day, Red Cross Corps Volunteers having been trained on First Aid had educative simulation exercises during the ongoing NYSC Orientation Camp in Imo.
