Alot of farmers are complaining that some multinational companies involved in farming business are killing local businesses by selling their products below production cost and therefore must be stopped. And I ask you.
My people, this companies cut off inefficiencies and therefore makes more profit. Besides u make more money when u scale up cos yr cost per unit is similar whether u rear 10 or 10000. What u pay a farm hand for raising 300 birds is the same labour when u scale up to 3000.
Your production cost is high cos of inefficiencies, low quality day old chicks been fed with low quality feeds in the market coupled with little or no basic hygiene standards talkmore of biosecurity measures.
It's high time we demand accountability from hatchery farms and feed companies that produce the DOC's and feeds. Same goes to vaccine and drug manufacturers/importers. Nigeria has become a dumping ground for fake and useless products.
By the time we tackle all this problems, yr agro-products will be as cheap as those of these big companies and u can afford to sale them at give away prices.
