Puff puff is not food.
Chin chin is not food.
Meat pie is not food.
Shawarma is not food.
This is not about taste.
It is about what your body recognises as nourishment.
All of them are built on the same base.
Refined wheat flour.
Flour that has been stripped of its natural components.
The bran removed.
The germ removed.
What is left is mostly starch.
And your body processes that starch very quickly, almost like sugar.
Then it is fried.
Often in oil that has been heated repeatedly.
That matters.
Because repeated heating changes the structure of the oil.
What you end up eating is not just food.
It is food that has been altered in a way your body does not handle well.
This is what gets handed to children at parties.
This is what becomes “normal.”
And years later, the questions begin.
Why the low energy.
Why the constant hunger.
Why the skin issues.
Why the difficulty concentrating.
Why the hormonal imbalance.
These foods were not part of traditional kitchens.
They became common because they are cheap to produce, easy to store, and convenient to sell.
But convenience is not the same as nourishment.
This is not about never eating them again.
It is about understanding what they are.
They are fillers.
Not builders.
Food should build.
Food should support growth, energy, and stability.
If it does not, it should not be a daily habit.
Make that your standard.
