BELIEVE AND THE VERY SERIOUS CRY
In Mboke, Ihiagwa, in Owerri West, Imo State, there lived a 4-year-old boy with a very big name and a very small height.
His NAME is BELIEVE.
Believe believed in many things:
He believed food tasted better when stolen from another plate 🍚
He believed naps were a punishment 😴
And most of all… he believed crying could solve any problem 😂
Believe’s crying was special.
It had levels.
Level 1: “Hmmmmm” (warning cry)
Level 2: “Ahhh ahhh!” (attention cry)
Level 3: Rolling on the floor like a Nollywood actor 🎭
One Sunny Afternoon ☀️
Believe was eating rice.
Suddenly, his spoon fell down.
He stared at it.👀
The spoon stared back.👀
Believe’s eyes filled with tears 😭.
“MUMMY OOOO!” he cried, falling dramatically on the floor.
His mother rushed in.
“Believe, what happened?!”
Between tears and sniffles, Believe said, “My spoon… it is on the floor.”
His mother blinked.
“Pick it up.”
Believe cried louder.
“It is small 😭”
His mother gently lifted the spoon and gave it to him.
Believe stopped crying immediately.
He smiled.
“Thank you, Mummy,” he said, and continued eating like nothing happened.
THE EMOTIONAL PART 💙
One evening, Believe was quiet.
Too quiet.
His mother asked, “Believe, why are you not playing?”
Believe looked down and said softly, “Nobody is my friend today.”
His mother hugged him tight.
“Believe,” she said, “you don’t need many friends. Just be kind. People will come.”
Believe nodded.
Then he asked, “Mummy… can I cry small?”
His mother laughed and said, “Small.”
Believe cried for three seconds, then smiled.
THE FUNNY ENDING 😂😂😂
The next day, someone asked Believe, “What is your name?”
He stood tall and said proudly,
“My name is BELIEVE.
I cry, but I am strong.
And I like rice.”
Everyone laughed.
And Believe believed…
that was more than enough.
