HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY MY BEAUTIFUL HEALTH FAMILY ❤️🌹

Today is a celebration of love…
But beyond the flowers and sweet words, today is about a deeper kind of love

The love you show yourself every single day.
When you wake up and choose water over soda…
When you go for that walk even when your body feels tired…
When you say “no” to unhealthy habits and “yes” to discipline…
That is self-love in action.

I see your effort.
I see your consistency.
I see your silent battles.
And I am so proud of you.
You are not just building a healthy body ,
You are building strength of mind.
You are building confidence.

You are building a future filled with energy and vitality.
Every healthy choice you make is a love letter to your body.
Every workout is a promise that you matter.
Every small progress is proof that you are growing.
Remember this:
Your journey is not about perfection.
It is about progress.

It is about loving yourself enough to keep going, even on hard days.
This Valentine’s Day, I want you to look at yourself and say:
“I am proud of how far I’ve come.”
“I am worthy of good health.”
“I deserve to feel strong, confident, and alive.”
Thank you for being part of this healthy lifestyle family.
Thank you for choosing growth.

Thank you for choosing YOU.
May your heart be full,
May your body be strong,
May your mind be peaceful,
And may your journey continue to inspire others.
Happy Valentine’s Day to my champions 💕
Let’s continue choosing health.
Let’s continue choosing discipline.
Let’s continue choosing LOVE , starting with ourselves. 💖

DIABETES (TYPE 2)
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Type 2 Diabetes is a long-term health condition that occurs when the body is unable to properly use insulin (a hormone that helps control blood sugar), or when the body does not produce enough of it. As a result, sugar builds up in the blood instead of being used for energy. Over time, persistently high blood sugar levels can damage vital organs such as the heart, kidneys, eyes, nerves, and blood vessels

WHAT DO YOU USE FOR YOUR ABACHA?

Ngu or Akawu(potash)?

While both Ngu and Akanwu serve the same purpose in making abacha (African salad) and other local dishes

Ngu is generally considered a healthier, more authentic, and better option as it is made from burnt palm fruit ash, while Akanwu is typically a form of potash, which has potential health implications. Ngu is used to emulsify palm oil into a thick, creamy paste, creating the base for the abacha dish.

Ngu
Origin: Made from burnt palm fruit ash.

Health: Considered a healthier and more traditional ingredient compared to potash.

Function: Emulsifies palm oil, transforming it into a creamy, thick, yellow paste that forms the base of the abacha.

Preparation: Typically mixed with water to create a liquid that is then stirred into the palm oil.

How to use Ngu in Abacha
Mix the Ngu (palm ash) with some water.

Pour the mixture into palm oil in a pot and stir well until it turns into a thick, creamy, yellow paste.

This paste serves as the foundation for adding your other abacha ingredients like crayfish, pepper, ugba and utazi

Do you want to know the health implications of using Akawu(potash)?
